Game #1 – Wackers vs. Blue Dog Tavern

Wackers get this one started with a Bill Brancato RBI single to take the early lead. Wackers grab the lead in the second grabbing three runs on RBI singles from Angela Georgiadis and Laura Albertson. Blue Dog responds themselves grabbing four runs in the bottom of the third. They get RBI singles from McCouch Sr. and John Rodriguez as well as a RBI double from Jason Robinson. Back and forth we go in this one as in the fourth Wackers grab four runs and take the lead. Brancato had a big bases clearing triple to give them the lead. Rodriguez smashes a two run bomb in the sixth to tie this game up. McCouch Sr. seals the game with a walk off RBI single in the bottom of the seventh to win it for Blue Dog. Blue Dog wins 10-9.

Game #2 – Carroll’s vs. Wackers

Both team come out early swinging as Carroll’s get the early lead off a Greg Lesher three run bomb into the woods at hatfield. Wackers double that output with six runs in the bottom of the first. Brancato continues to swing the bat well grabbing a two run double to start the rally and a couple batters later, Mike Kelly smashes a three run bomb of his own. A Saran Yoos RBI double helps to tie this game up in the top of the second, but that is quickly taken over by Wackers with a three run homer from Mark Meredith. Defense shuts down the next couple innings, and after a couple runs here and there from both teams, we stand tied after five innings of play. This lead would not be broken until the bottom of the seventh, when Rob Shuck steps to the plate and delivers a walk off three run laser over the fence to win the game. Wackers win 14-11.
