A Division

Quarry

Game 1: Vertex vs. Pigeon Boyz

Walks lead to a run for PB in the bottom of the first. Vertex gets on the board with two runs in the top of the second. PB adds another run in the bottom of the third. Five runs cross the plate for Vertex in the top of the fourth with a double for Mat Crowell. Sean Nonemacher rips an RBI double for Vertex in the top of the fifth. Vertex tops the Pigeon Boyz, 9-2.

Game 2: Silverbacks vs. Cifelli’s Sunoco

Sam Ryan blasts a solo homer for CS in the bottom of the first. The Silverbacks use singles to get two runs in the top of the second. Errors help CS plate three runs in the bottom of the fourth. The Silverbacks bat around in the top of the fifth to score five runs thanks to back to back to back triples by Ian Cuozzo, Jamal Covington, and Ari Silverstein. The Silverbacks put up four runs in the top of the sixth on singles and a double from Ian Cuozzo. CS adds three more runs in the bottom of the sixth. Errors and singles lead to three runs for the Silverbacks in the top of the seventh. The Silverbacks beat Cifelli’s Sunoco, 15-8.

Game 3: Silverbacks vs. Doom Cats

The Silverbacks take an early lead with three runs in the top of the first on walks, singles, and an RBI double by Ian Cuozzo. DC answers with a run in the bottom of the first. Jose Rodriguez rakes a run scoring double for DC in the bottom of the third. Tom Koelzer blasts a two run homer for DC in the bottom of the fourth. Doublels by Ian Cuozzo and Ari Silverstein net the Silverbacks four runs in the top of the fifth. DC adds another four runs in the bottom of the fifth on singles, doubles by Ryan Goodman and Jose Rodriguez, and a Matt Hatch RBI triple. DC bats around in the bottom of the sixth to plate four runs on singles. Ari Silverstein jacks a two run homer for the Silverbacks in the top of the seventh. The Doom Cats take down the Silerbacks, 14-9.

Game 4: Doom Cats vs. Cifelli’s Sunoco

DC starts off hot with four runs in the top of the first thanks to doubles by Zach Martin and Ryan Goodman, and a Jose Rodriguez RBI triple. Back to back triples by Will Otinger and Zach Martin help DC score three runs in the top of the second. CS gets on the board with a run in the bottom of the second. Ryan Goodman jacks a two run homer for DC in the top of the third. Tim W launches a solo homer for CS in the bottom of the third. Travis K smokes a two run double for CS in the bottom of the fifth. Ryan Goodman smashes another two run homer for DC in the top of the fifth. DC scores two runs in the top of the seventh thanks to doubles by Jon Poore and Bryan Peterman. CS rallies for a run in the bottom of the seventh. The Doom Cats make quick work of Cifelli’s Sunoco, 16-7.

B South

Lukens III

Game 1: Spartans vs. Maggios

Antonio Almeida rips a leadoff double for the Spartans as two runs cross the plate in the top of the first. Maggios answers with six runs in the bottom of the first on errors, singles, and a Brendan McCoy RBI double. Maggios uses walks to add three runs in the bottom of the fourth. The Spartans add three runs in the top of the fifth with a two run double by Mike Jaurigue. Doubles by Brendan McCoy and Eric Schwab net Maggios two runs in the bottom of the fifth. The Spartans bat around in the top of the sixth to get six runs on errors, walks, and a Mike Mahan triple. The Spartans bat around in the top of the sixth to push six runs across on errors, singles, and a Mike Mahan triple. Maggios scores four runs in the bottom of the sixth on errors and a two run double by Drank Sprouse. Back to back doubles by Mike Mahan and Jeff Rivera help the Spartans score two runs in the top of the seventh. Maggios out slugs the Spartans, 16-13.

Game 2: Maggios vs. Foul Balls

Maggios scores six runs in the top of the first on walks and doubles by Brandon McCoy, Mike Helbing, Sean Cook, and Cameron Napoli. Maggios pushes eight runs across in the top of the second on walks, singles, and doubles by Mike Helbling and Eric Schwab. FB gets on the board with six runs in the bottom of the second on singles, and doubles by Pete Carrington, Justin Perloff, and Ryan Legeckas. FB plates two more runs in the bottom of the fifth on singles. Three runs come in for Maggios in the top of the sixth courtesy of doubles by Eric Schwab and Sean Cook. Maggios adds five runs in the top of the seventh on walks and singles. Maggios beats down Foul Balls, 22-8.

Game 3: Hit Men vs. Sticky Bandits

HM gets on the board with seven runs in the top of the second on walks, singles, and a two run double by Mike Lang. SB puts up two runs in the bottom of the third. Two runs cross the plate for HM in the top of the fifth. Nick Lang jacks a three run homer for HM in the top of the sixth.
John Wienstein smokes an RBI triple for SB in the bottom of the sixth. SB rallies for two runs in the bottom of the seventh. The Hit Men top Sticky Bandits, 13-7.

Game 4: Sticky Bandits vs. Sons of Pitches

SOP takes an early lead with three runs in the bottom of the first. SOP uses singles to get four runs in the bottom of the third. SB finally gets on the board in the top of the fourth with six runs on singles, and a three run homer by Brisn Mish. SOP bats around in the bottom of the fourth to put up five runs thanks to a two run homer by Joe Stankovics. SOP bats around in the top of the sixth to score four runs on walks and singles. Sons of Pitches destroys Sticky Bandits, 18-7.
