Hatfield
Game 1: Dave & Confused vs. Dirt Stars
Dave & Confused set the tone in the top of the first as Mark McKinney smashed a three run bomb, then his teammates walked five times to help score three more. Sean Pena led the top of the second off with a solo shot (always appreciated at Hatfield…) to give his squad a 7 run lead. In the bottom of the frame, Dirt Stars’ Joe Carpino doubled to set up Daulton Pickersgill’s sac fly to get their team on the board with a single run. They improved in the bottom of the third, poking three singles, walking twice, and forcing an error to add four to their total. Unfortunately, this wakes up Dave & Confused in the top of the fourth who get 14 consecutive batters to reach base safely, highlighted by John Fine’s two-run double as they plate 13 runs in the inning. A series of singles for Dirt Stars in the bottom of the fourth added a run, which didn't make much of a dent in the deficit. The fifth is silent on both fronts, but John Fine smashes a three run dinger into the trees to cap off a resounding win for his squad. This game ends after six innings with Dave & Confused crushing Durt Stars 23-6.

Man of the Match: John Fine (3-4, 2 R, SF, 2B, HR, 6 RBI)

Game 2: Dave & Confused vs. Ball Busters
A leadoff walk from Dave Graves and a pair of singles creates a run for Dave & Confused in the top of the first in their second game. Ball Busters responded with a pair of singles, a two-run Andrew Parker double, and a sac fly to take the lead with three in the bottom of the frame. They add one more in the bottom of the second off three base knocks and tack on one more in the third from Brendan Parker’s solo homer. In the top of the fourth, Joe Carpino launched a three run dinger to leave Dave & Confused down by three. Ball Busters force an error and get an RBI two-bagger out of Mike Marcelline to take a 7-4 lead. In the bottom of the fifth, Ball Busters put some distance between themselves and their opponent. Among a bunch of singles and a Mark Kennedy double, Andrew Parker and Mike Marcelline each launch homers (two and three runs, respectively) as Ball Busters double their total output with a seven run inning. In the top of the sixth, Jake Pederzani doubled and scored as part of a two-run effort for Dave & Confused. Ball Busters force a costly error and score three in the sixth despite Andrew Parker’s unfortunate over the limit home run out - some claim it was the nicest out they’ve ever seen. In the top of the seventh, Dave & Confused manage to score, but it’s nowhere near enough as Ball Busters retain their healthy lead and win 17-7.

Man of the Match: Andrew Parker (3-4, 2 R, 2-2B, HR, 4 RBI)

Game 3: Ball Busters vs. Sunday Scaries
In the top of the first, Brendan Parker doubled and scored as Ball Busters strike first. They followed it up in the top of the second with one more thanks to Tyler Cohen driving in a run on a two-bagger. Sunday Scaries use three singles to get on the board in the bottom of the second, halving their deficit. Ball Busters came out swinging in the top of the third, with Andrew Parker and Mike Marcelline each smacking two-run dingers to plate five. In the top of the fourth, Zack Lyall doubled and scored to put Ball Busters up 8-1. Sunday Scaries play some small ball in the bottom of the fifth, tallying one run on three singles. In the top of the final frame, Andrew Parker hit another two run homer and Eric Cohen’s RBI double pushed a third across the dish for Ball Busters. Deep in a hole, Sunday Scaries brought their bats to their final turn at the dish. Dave McCaughey smacked a three run bomb and Andrew Coates launched a solo shot, but ultimately, they fell short. Ball Busters take this one by a score of 11-6.

Man of the Match: Andrew Parker (2-3, 2 R, BB, 2 HR, 4 RBI)

Lukens I
Game 1: Alliance Hauling vs. Palz Tap House
Palz Tap House strikes first in the bottom of the opening inning, plating four runs behind a Tom Jacob double and a Kyle Greener triple. This wakes up Alliance Hauling who halve their deficit in the top of the second as both Drew and Greg Gallagher collect RBIs on base knocks. In the top of the third, they take an 8-4 lead by bringing all 11 batters to the dish via eight singles. In the bottom of the third, however, Palz appeared to be unstoppable at one point as they batted around twice and added 14 runs. Patience and small ball were key as they drew six free passes and poked nine singles while Kyle Greener knocked in a pair on a double and Tom Jacob cranked a three run dinger. Alliance Hauling scraped back a pair of runs in the top of the fourth on some singles and Palz matched them in the bottom of the frame. The fifth was silent from both sides and this tilt ended on a quiet note. Palz Tap House sends Alliance Hauling packing, winning 20-10.

Man of the Match: Kyle Greener (5-5, 2 R, 2B, 3B, 3 RBI)

Game 2: Saints & Sinners vs. Palz Tap House
In the top of the first, Saints & Sinners put up four runs thanks to three singles, RBI doubles from Anthony Villani and Max Smith, and a run-producing triple from Jimmy McHale. Palz Tap House halved their deficit as Tom Jacob drove in a pair on a double. Saints & Sinners extended their lead in the top of the second via three walks, three singles, and a two run triple off the bat of Chris Donnelly, adding five to their total. In the bottom of the frame, Palz continued to chip away, this time plating four runs by drawing a walk, forcing an error, and hitting three singles. Saints & Sinners went down 1-2-3 in the top of the third and Palz took full advantage. During their turn at the dish they batted around while Kyle Greener and Nick Park each collected two RBIs on a single and double, respectively, while they put up seven runs to take a 13-9 lead. In the top of the fourth, Saints & Sinners string together some base knocks and manage to score once. The next inning, they reclaim their lead with a four run effort on the back of four singles and Doug Morris’ double. In the bottom of the fifth, Kyle Greener led off with a single and Tom Jacob knocked him in to level the score for the first time since the game began. In the sixth, Saints & Sinners could only manage a walk and while Palz were able to get two base knocks out of their squad, neither team was able to claim a lead. The seventh wasn’t played in this one, so Saints & Sinners vs. Palz Tap House ended with the teams knotted at 14.

Man of the Match: Kyle Greener (3-4, 4 R, BB, 4 RBI)
