Misfits @ Sons of Pitches
The Misfits were steady all night long, scoring runs in every inning. They got hot in the 2nd inning, posting 7 runs behind the sticks of Trevor Rice, Mike Lopiccolo, Colin Murphy, Joe Schneidinger, Chris Triolo, and John Kiefer - all hit singles. Donnie Squartino would hit a 3 run bomb in the 4th and a solo shot in the 6th. Sons of Pitches just didn’t have it tonight, tallying only 10 runs in total. Keith Bauer would hit a 3 run dinger in the first, but it wasn’t enough. Misfits rack up 24 to defeat SofP’s 24 - 10.

Player of the Game: Donnie Squartino - Misfits - 3/5 - 2 HRs - 4 RBIs - 3 runs scored

American Legion @ Cobra Kai
American Legion would be steady all night long too vs the Kai, also scoring runs in every inning. Brian Wrigley and Shawn Hines each would take Matty Poust deep, back to back in the 7th. Cobra Kai started hot, posting 4 in the 1st, but would be held scoreless 4 out of the next 5 innings. Steve Reed would go perfect on the night, 4/4, scoring twice, and driving in 1. But 8 runs weren’t enough to battle with AL. Tony Casper would score 3 times for AL, as would Hines.

Player of the Game: Shawn Hines - 5/5 - 1 HR - 4 runs scored, 2 RBIs - 2 doubles.

Dirty Dozen @ Generals
Generally speaking, if you don’t score, you can’t win. The Generals got blanked. D12 would end this game in 6 innings, scoring 17. Andrew Alexander and Justin O’Brien would score 4 times each. Cody Nash would cross the plate 3 times. Utter domination, D12 defeats the Generals.

Player of the Game: Justin O’Brien - Dirty Dozen - 4/4 - 3 doubles, 4 runs scored - 5 RBIs

Shout out to scorekeeper, Fern. In the words of Billy Joel, "Life is a series of hellos and goodbyes." For now it's goodbye... until next week!
