Cobra Kai @ Dirty Dozen
35 total runs would be scored in this one, and the time limit would come into play as this one would only go 6 innings. Matty Poust started the game for the Kai with a single and Jay Pane would hit a double. Both would score off a Brandon Garges double. D12 answered by batting around, plating 7 runs behind homers from Cody Nash and Justin O’Brien. D12 would go dry, scoring only 3 more runs though the 5th. Over that span, the Kai would tack on 16 more with homers by TJ Lillo, Tyler Gower, & Jay Pane. Entering the 6th, Cobra Kai led 18 - 10. In the bottom of the 6th, D12 would catch fire. Nash homered again, and five more singles would allow for 7 runs to score - but they needed at least 8 to tie. Cobra Kai holds on to defeat Dirty Dozen, 18-17.

Player of the Game: Jay Pane - Cobra Kai - 4/4 - 1 HR - 4 RBIs - 4 runs scored - 1 double.

Sons of Pitches @ Generals
SofP’s would trickle in 2 runs in the 1st, 6th, and 7th. But it was the 5th inning where the bottom of the lineup would come alive. Bobby Hartzell would get the inning started with a single. Bob Stanley doubled, Josh Carl singled, Ryan McAvery would get on base via an error, and Derrick Benner would triple. All five scored, contributing to SofP’s 12 total runs on the night. The Generals posted 4 in the first, but lost steam after that. Anthony Crawford would drive in 3 of those 4 runs on a deep ball over the fence. He followed up that at bat with 2 more homers on the night. The Generals only could muster 7 runs. SofP’s defeat Generals 12 - 7.

Player of the Game: Anthony Crawford - Generals - 4/4 - 3 HRs - 3 runs scored - 6 RBIs

American Legion @ Misfits
Legion’s top of the order would be on full display, going 18/25. Legion’s lead off batter, Tony Casper, would draw 4 walks and score 3 times. Dan Powell would power 2 deep balls, drive in 8, and see a 3rd ball go over the fence (but the team was over the HR limit). The Misfits started slowly and never could catch up. Donnie Squartino would hit a 3 run bomb, but it wasn’t enough. Legion defeats the Misfits 21 - 7.

Player of the Game: Legion’s first five batters.

***Shout out to scorekeeper, Fern. In the words of Billy Joel, "Life is a series of hellos and goodbyes." For now it's goodbye... until next week!
