Game 1: Dave & Confused vs. Palz Tap House
Dave & Confused wasted no time getting on the board in the top of the first thanks to Mark McKinney ripping a double to drive in a run. They kept rolling in the top of the second thanks to John Fine smashing a Grand Slam with no outs, accounting for all the runs this frame. In the top of the third, Kyle Pederzani led off by crushing a solo bomb, then a couple singles tacked on a second run. Already down seven runs, Palz Tap house managed to get on the board in the bottom of the third with a pair of runs driven in by Alex Freeman’s two-bagger and Pete Herber’s base hit. In the fourth, they continued to whittle down their opponent’s lead by smacking five straight singles with Casey Long and Ryan Nakonieczny collecting RBIs as Palz found themselves only down two. After a quiet fifth from both sides, Palz managed to put themselves out in front with four runs highlighted by doubles from Danny and Alex Freeman. Having been silent and only having two batters reach base safely since the third, Dave & Confused went down 1-2-3 in the top of the seventh to wrap this one up. Palz Tap House scored nine unanswered runs to take this game from Dave & Confused by a score of 9-7.

Man of the Match: Alex Freeman (3-3, 2 R, BB, 2-2B, 3 RBI)

Game 2: Palz Tap House vs. Alliance Hauling
After drawing three walks, Palz drew first blood in the top of the first by scoring one run on a fielder’s choice. Alliance Hauling comes out swinging to take the lead on the backs of Tyler Millan and Will Schulz who each ripped RBI doubles to help plate four. Not to be outdone, Palz bzts around in the top of the second, pusing six across the dish highlighted by a bases-clearing double off the bat of Pete Herbert. The third was quiet on both fronts, but in the top of the fourth Palz extended their lead with a three run frame that featured another RBI double from Pete Herbert. In the top of the fifth, Nick Hildebrand notched a single that drove in another two runs for Palz. With Alliance running out of time, Tyler Millan crushed a two run dinger to help them score three and end the streak of scoreless innings. They were able to hold their opponents off the scoreboard in the top of the sixth and seventh, but only managed to score once in each thanks to some singles, a sac fly, and Tyler Millan’s triple to complete his cycle. Despite that, Alliance Hauling falls to Palz Tap House 12-9.

Man of the Match: Tyler Millan (4-4, CYCLE, 3R, 3 RBI)

Game 3: Alliance Hauling vs. Sunday Scaries
Colin Kelly led the bottom of the first off by roping a double and Tommy Thorton followed that up by cranking a triple as Sunday Scaries took a three run lead. In the top of the second, Alliance Hauling claw a couple runs back thanks to Greg Gallagher who roped a two-out, two-run double. Highlighted by Dan Kalinoski’s two-run triple Sunday Scaries plate four in the bottom of the frame to add to their lead. In the top of the third, Tyler Millan smacked a solo home run, accounting for Alliance’s only run. Sunday Scaries keep rolling in the bottom of the third, plating four thanks to a walk, four singles, and an RBI double from Adam Allman Back-to-back doubles from Tim Fossile and Mike Gould and a three run dinger from Matt Gallagher in the top of the fourth helps Alliance cut into their deficit and they find themselves down 11-8 after four. A sac fly in the top of the fifth accounted for a lone run for Alliance, then Sunday Scaries played a little small ball in the bottom of a frame before Colin Kelly slapped a double to plate three. A pair each of fielder’s choices, walks, and singles scored a pair of runs for Alliance in the top of the sixth. In the bottom of the sixth, Sunday Scaries got a leadoff double, a walk, and a couple RBI singles to maintain their lead. Alliance fails to score in the top of the seventh, meaning Sunday Scaries managed to hold on and win 16-11.
