Game 1: Saints and Sinners vs. Dave & Confused
Three crossed the dish in the bottom of the first for Dave & Confused in this one thanks to a pair of walks and three singles. Saints and Sinners tie it right up in the top of the second with Gene Davis and Steve Fitzgerald collecting RBIs. A pair of walks and a Jake Pederzani double get a run and the lead back for Dave & Confused. The bottom of the third is a huge inning for Dave & Confused. They batted around to score a ridiculous 15 runs on a one error, a couple walks, a bunch of singles, doubles from Bryon McMackin and Sean Pena, plus a bases clearing tiple from John Graves. In the bottom of the fourth, John Graves drove in another pair for Dave & Confused on a base knock. Only scoring in one inning, Saints and Sinners were crushed by Dave & Confused, triggering the mercy rule for a final score of 21-3.

Man of the Match: John Graves (4-4, 2 R, 3B, 7 RBI)

Game 2: Saints and Sinners vs. Dirt Stars
Saints and Sinners drew first blood in the top of the first as Shane Stewart tripled and was driven in by Chris Fig. Dirt Stars jumped right out into the lead in the bottom of the frame with two runs off of Anthony Corbett’s triple. After plating a pair of runs in the bottom of the second, Dirt Stars put on a show in the third. They batted around to score a whopping 13, highlighted by a two run triple from Sean Mackley and a Grand Slam from Jeff Sywulak. In the top of the fourth, Saints and Sinners kept fighting and managed to tally a pair of runs on a James Standish double and a pair of singles. Daulton Pickergill smashed a two out, three run bomb to help score five for Dirt Stars and enact the mercy rule. Saints and Sinners’ bad day ends with another mercy rule defeat, falling to Dirt Stars 24-3.
