With 9 teams, each team will play each other team one time. For the post season, the 2 and 3 seeds will compete in a playoff tournament at the end of the regular season. The winner of the playoff tournament will move to the A Division 2/3 Finals vs. the 1 seed. The 4, 5, 6 and 7 seeds will compete in a playoff tournament at the end of the regular season. The playoff tournament finalists will move to the B Division 2/3 Finals. The higher seed will be the home team for the playoff tournament and in Games 1 and 3 of the finals.
With COVID-19 and its variants still around, the coed league 'eddie' requirements will stay at 4-3-2 (4 eddies in the line-up, 3 eddies in the field of which 2 of the eddies in the field must be female). A revised all-star/eddie rule will be in effect for this year. To keep the batter, catcher, and umpire at an acceptable social distance, the ball/strike mat will be used once again.
All-STAR/EDDIE RULE, ALL-STAR REQUIREMENTS (COED): A coed team playing with 4 or fewer all-stars will not be affected by the A/E rule and can bat and field as few as 4 eddies (minimum 2 females). A coed team playing 5 all-stars must bat 5 eddies, 4 of which must be female with not less than 2 females playing the field. A coed team playing 6 or more all-stars must bat 6 eddies, 5 of which must be female with not less than 2 females playing the field. All-stars are determined by the league and shall be adjusted yearly. A coed team cannot use a non-roster eddie sub to satisfy all-star/eddie requirements.
