Game #1 – Mott-Ley Crew vs. Knuckleheads

Crew get on the board first in this big matchup with CJ Motts knocking in one a big sac fly that just came up short of being a two run bomb. Knuckleheads will match them in the bottom of the inning with a sac fly of their own from Tom Newell. Jon Motts shows hows its done smashing a solo homer in the second to again give Crew the slight advantage. Crew will net three more runs in the third with back to back to back RBI singles from Justin Ruth, Carl Motts and Greg Reilly. Jesse Fowler gets Knuckleheads back a couple with a big two run bomb. The offense dries up for a couple of innings, but Crew are able to net three more across the fifth and sixth. Tom Finn added an RBI single in the inning. Crew are able to hold off Knuckleheads late and will win this one. Crew wins 10-3.

Game #2 – Mott-Ley Crew vs. Wackers

Crew look for a similar result as the first game and get it started with a two run bomb off the bat of Evan Porter. Wackers answer in the bottom of the inning with a couple runs off the bats of Matt Bookheimer and Alex Freeman. Tom Finn gets the scoring started again for Crew in the second with an RBI single before they explode a bit in the third and fourth innings. CJ Motts had a home run and an RBI double across the two innings and Porter smashed two doubles. The long ball continued to help pace Crew as Jeremy Villano goes deep for a two run bomb. Wackers do also have a big fourth inning smashing six runs in thanks to RBI singles from Nick Piggott and Alex Amador as well as a two run double from Roc Akers. Crew are just too much in this one though as their bats don’t go quiet at all. Villano smashes another bomb, this time a grand slam deep into the quarry woods as they will win this one big. Crew wins 24-11.

Game #3 – Dugout Demons vs. Carroll’s

Dugout Demons get rolling in the third game of the night getting runs right out of the gate. Pat Kelly starts it with an RBI double which is then followed up by a Tom Koelzer two run double. Bill Shallcross closes out the scoring in the inning with an RBI single as they take a 4-0 lead. Carroll’s go down without any runs in the bottom of the inning, which will tend to be a theme in this game. Demons start rolling with homers in this one, which is evident by back to back homers in the third from Kelly and Koelzer. Kelly’s was a three run bomb. A Ben Razzi sac fly inscreases the Demons lead up to 9-1. Carroll’s finally get a big run in the sixth with five total runs. Bart starts it with a two run single and Mike Stacey ends it with an RBI double. The duo of Kelly and Koezler strike again, this time for back to back solo homers as demons will win this one. Demons win 12-6.

Game #4 – Wehrungs vs. Dugout Demons

Demons come out slugging in game two just like they did in the first game. Pat Kelly smashes a two run bomb, something that would become very common in this one. A couple batters later, Jake Haber smashes an RBI triple followed by a Greta Sheridan RBI double. Jay Pane and Krysta Wellington round out the inning with RBI’s. PK grabs another homer in the third, this time a solo shot as Demons increase their lead in this one. Wehrung’s finally get on the board in the fourth with three runs thanks to a Luke Hendricks RBI double and Erik Senderling RBI single. Demons and the bottom of the lineup count back with two runs in the bottom of the inning to make this a 12-3 game. PK smashes another homer in the fifth, another solo shot and that gives him three for the game and five on the day. Someone got a big lifting session in before the game today. Wehrung’s bring this one close in the end grabbing three runs in the seventh, but Demons will hold on to win this one 14-9.
