Game #1 – Altek vs. Dug Out Demons

This game would start off small as neither team scores until the second when Demons put up a six spot. Jay Pane starts it with a three run bomb and Rob Worthington ends it with an RBI single. They get right back to work in the third, getting a Tom Koezler sac fly and Jake Haber RBI single. Demons will get two more runs on a single by Rob Worthington before Altek can get on the board. Altek gets three runs on back to back RBI doubles from Adam Volpe and Kevin Cwika and an RBI single from Scott Flaherty. Ben Razzi will close this one out with an RBI single as Demons will take this one easy. Demons win 12-3.

Game #2 – Altek vs. Carroll’s

Altek gets rolling with a run on a Ray D fielder’s choice as they look to put up more of a fight in this one. Carroll’s answer with three runs. Keving Shinkunas had a two run single and Mike Stacey knocked one in on a fielder’s choice. Altek takes the lead in the third, on a two run double from Adam Volpe and a two run double from Tony Luizza. Carroll’s get three more runs in the bottom of the third, two coming off of a big two run homer from Bill Shipe. Sara Yoos also smashed a solo bomb in the inning. After Carroll’s add a couple more runs in the fourth, Altek, puts up three runs in the fifth to tie this game again. Kevin C had a two run single and Ray D had an RBI single. Carroll’s have the answer again with five runs this time. Halle Bilker had an RBI single and Steve DiGiovanni had an RBI walk. Atlek will tough it out in this one and put up four runs in the seventh. Adam Volpe had an RBI double and Kevin C added two with a triple, but they fall just short in this one. Carroll’s win 14-12.

Game #3 – Carroll’s vs. Maize

Carroll’s get the momentum going in the next game grabbing five runs right out of the gate. Greg Lesher had a two run triple while Bryan Bart and Mike Stacey had RBI singles. A Sara Yoos two run bomb pushes the lead for Carroll’s up to 8-0 as Maize continues to struggle. Carroll’s really pick it up and bat around in the third inning, grabbing three straight RBI singles from Yoos, Lesher, and Bart as well as an RBI double from Bill Shipe. Aaron Worthington nets Maize two runs on a two run single, but that is quickly answer by a three run inning off the bat of Carroll’s. Carroll’s will roll in this one and completely handle Maize from start to finish. Carroll’s win 19-2.

Game #4 – Knuckleheads vs. The Maize

Knuckleheads get started slowly, with a run each of the first coupe innings off a Collin Radcliff fielder’s choice and Jamie Burns RBI single. This sets up a big third inning as Knuckleheads bat around twice and put up a whopping 16 runs. Tom Newell had a two run single followed by a two run triple off the bat of Jon Poore. Jaden Newman and Amanda Zacharias then knock in RBI singles before an RBI single from Jay Cybok and two run triple from Radcliff. Poore and Newman will finish with back to back RBI doubles as they would lead 18-0 after three innings of play. Aaron Worthington keeps Maize in it now with a two run homer as well as a Brian B sac fly. Maize will then get six runs in the fifth as they look to fight back in this one. Gary K had a two run triple and Christian H had a two run triple as they make this a 22-9 game. Unfortunately that is all we would get to in this one due to time limit. Knucklheads win 22-9.
