Game #1 – Wehrung’s vs. The Maize

Wehrung’s get rolling with one run on a Luke Hendricks sac fly. The Maize respond in the bottom of the inning getting three runs. Aaron Worthington starts the scoring with an RBI single and Michelle Egitto brings one in on a fielder’s choice. Wehrung’s tie this one up on a two run single from Lowell Snyder. Maize will take this lead again in the bottom of the inning getting an RBI double from Tom Egitto. Keith Bellinger adds another. We fast forward to the fifth when Werung’s bats start to wake up. Doug Moninghoff starts off the scoring with an RBI tirple, followed by an Alex Pankitera RBI single which then sets up the big two run bomb off the bat of Luke Hendricks. Wehrung’s takes the lead at 8-5 and looks to keep the offensive onslaught going. Wehrung’s comes back with a big seven run inning in the seventh as they will pull away in this one and win easy. Hendricks goes deep this time with a two run bomb of his own, followed by RBI doubles from Bobby Snyder and Lowell Snyder. Wehrungs take it easy and win 17-7.

Game #2 – Wehrung’s vs. Altek

.Altek strikes first in the bottom of the inning with five runs of their own getting an RBI double off the bat of Adam Volpe followed up by a Kevin C two run bomb into the woods. Scott F and Brittany L will round out the inning with two RBI singles as they take a 5-1 lead early. Altek will extend that lead in the second getting four more runs off a Nick Cataldi RBI single and Kevin C RBI double. Rob Schuh tries to keep Wehrung’s in the game with a two run triple, but Altek answer immediately with seven more runs. Cataldi and Volpe smash back to back two run hits followed by a two run single from Casey M as they take a commanding 16-3 lead after three innings. Moninghoff smashes a solo bomb for Wehrung’s in the fifth, but that does not spark anything for them. An inning later, Wehrung’s will catch fire. Adam H gets the first run on an RBI single while Moninghoff nets two more runs on another hit. Wehrung’s brings this back to a 16-10 game, but that is as far back as they could bring it and will fall in this one. Altek wins 16-10.

Game #3 – Rock N Rebel vs. Altek


Third game of the night gets started with a solo bomb off the bat of Stefano Giulanno as Rebel takes an early 1-0 lead. Altek look to continue their hot streak from game one and do with back to back singles from Kevin C and Casey M as they will take the lead. They continue this streaky hitting in the following inning, with four more runs thanks to a Shannon F RBI single and bases clearing triple from Cataldi. Both teams grab a couple of runs before they don’t push any runs across in the fourth inning as we sit at an 8-4 game in favor of Altek. Both teams will wake up in the fifth inning with Rebel grabbing three runs first. Erik Stalford smashed an RBI double while Emily Kline knocked in one on a single. Altek respond with a big inning of their own with six runs. Casey M and Scott F both have two run singles in the inning as well. Rebel bring it back all the way to within two runs in the sixth inning grabbing five more runs on RBI singles from Rob Schuh and Ed Reynolds as well as a two run single from Erik Stalford. Again, like they have done all day today, Altek responds and adds four more insurance runs. That would be all they need in this one and will win this one. Altek win 18-12.
