Game One: Misfits @ Cannoneers
Total domination for the Cannoneers on this 7pm opener. Brian Wrigley homered once, and Shawn Hines homered twice. Josh Kennedy would have the best night of all though, going 4 for 4, & scoring all 4 times. Mike Shutt and Nick Elia would each score once for the Misfits, but this one would end early. Cannoneers win 17-2.

Player of the Game: Josh Kennedy - Cannoneers - 4 for 4, 1 DBL, 4 runs scored.

Game Two: Dirty Dozen @ Generals
Generally speaking, giving up 26 runs is a recipe for a loss. D12 would tack on 26 big ones on the Generals - who only could muster 5. Adam Gingrich and Chris Forester each would score twice, tallying 4 of the 5 General runs. D12’s Kevin Carver drove in 5 runs while going 7 for 7 and scoring 4 runs of his own. His teammate, Jordan Cook, would go yard and also cross the plate 5 times. D12 wins big, 26-5.

Player of the Game: Kevin Carver - D12 - 7 for 7, 5 RBIs, 4 runs scored, 3 DBLs.

Game Three: Sons of Pitches @ Cobra Kai
Heading into the 4th inning, the Kai held a 10-7 lead. The Kai’s top 3 (Jay Pane, Jake Haber, and Mike Fischer) would each bat twice and each score twice. SofP’s would flip this game in the 4th - going banana pancakes - scoring 12 in the inning. Tim Frei and Tim Gluck would go back to back with dingers, and Jayden Hurrey would hit a 2-RBI triple. SofP’s win 19-16.

Player of the Game: Keith Bauer - SofP’s - 0 for 0, 3 runs scored, 3 BBs, 1 RBI.

***Shout out to scorekeeper, Fern. In the words of Billy Joel, "Life is a series of hellos and goodbyes." For now, it's goodbye... until next week!
