Game #1 – Altek vs. Muckdogs

Altek get rolling out of the gate with a two run bomb off the bat of Nick Cataldi. Chad Solomon then follows that up with a solo bomb of his own to make this a 3-0 lead. Muckdogs respond in the bottom of the inning with three runs of their own on a two run bomb from James Rundatz and RBI double from Jeff Hess. Altek get one run back on a fielder’s choice, but Muckdogs go right back, getting four more runs. Tom Trumbower had a two run double and Roger Ayala knock in one run on an RBI triple. Greg Hess also add an RBI on a single. Altek comes back fighting again with two runs, one on an RBI single from Scott Flaherty and one on a fielder’s choice. Muckdogs get rolling again in the fourth inning grabbing four more runs. Jamie Richards starts the scoring with an RBI double followed by a two run triple off the bat of Rundatz. Jeff Kulp would also add an RBI single in the inning to push their lead up more. Muckdogs lead after four by the score of 12-6. Altek will get three runs back on a three run bomb off the bat of Chad Solomon to make this a 12-9 game. Rundatz and Kulp will tack on a couple RBI triples late in the game as they will win this one. Muckdogs win 16-9.

Game #2 – Altek vs. The Maize

Altek get rolling in the first inning with an RBI single off the bat of Daren Flaherty to give them an early 1-0 lead. Maize answer back in the bottom of the inning with four runs of their own. Aaron Worthington gets them on the board with an RBI double which is followed up with by an RBI single from Bill Worthington and RBI single from Sam Altmiller. Maize get more RBI singles from Christian Hazlett and Will Dos to make this an 8-3 game after 2 innings of play. Maize will get rolling again in the fourth adding some big insurance runs with an Aaron Worthington RBI triple, Kyle Strachen smacks a sac fly and Gary Kelinschmidt and Hazlett smack back to back as they take a 12-3 lead. That is all the runs that they would need in this one as they will take this one easy. The Maize win 14-4.

Game #3 – Wehrung’s vs. The Maize

Both teams get rolling out the gate…with their gloves as neither team will score in the first inning. Maize will strike first getting a run on a solo bomb off the bat of Hazlett. Wehrung’s grab a run in the third, before grabbing three runs in the fourth. Kyle Hendricks brings in two runs on a triple in the inning. Maize respond in the bottom of the inning, with four runs of their own. Kyle Strachen knocks in two runs on a single and Gary Kleinschmidt smashes a two run bomb. The bats go quiet again and the gloves get hot as on two more runs will be scored in this one. Aaron Worthington smashes a two run bomb to make this a 7-4 game and they will win this one. The Maize win 2 today.
