Game One: Cobra Kai @ Dirty Dozen
The Kai opened their summer campaign with a hot 1st inning, scoring 4 runs. Bobby Lillo would drive in 2 of those with his bases-loaded single. D12’s Chris Hackney would double then score in the bottom of the 1st. He’d walk and score in the 2nd. Kai’s Tyler Gower and Mike Fischer would hit a double and triple respectively and both would close the plate in the 6th. D12 holds off a frisky Kai, 8-7.

Player of the Game: Andrew Alexander - D12 - 4 for 4, 2B, 3B, 3 RBIs, 1 run scored.

Game Two: Misfits @ Generals
Generally speaking, if you don’t score any runs, you’ll probably lose. Especially if you give up 12 in the first 2 innings. Misfits would see nearly every team member score in this span. Matt Bookheimer would score twice. As would John Kiefer. Misfits blank the Generals, 13 - 0.

Player of the Game: Jose Rodriguez - Misfits - 3 for 4 - 2 RBIs, 1 run scored, 3B.

Game Three: Cannoneers @ Moxon’s Cartel
The Cannoneers only had 9 players this night, and on the bigger Quarry field, this proved to be a problem. Only posting 3 runs didn’t help either. The Cartel’s maiden voyage was a successful one, as 6 team members would score multiple times. Abe Brooks and Jay Pane each crossed the plate 3 times.

Player of the Game: Abe Brooks - Moxon’s Cartel - 4 for 5 - 3 runs scored, 2B, 4 RBIs.

Game Four: Sons of Pitches @ Moxon’s Cartel
After 6 innings, this game looked like the Cartel would close out the night 2 - 0. They held a 14 - 9 lead. But in the top of the 7th, SofP’s came alive. 6 straight team members would score, grabbing a 15 - 14 lead. Tim Frei would clear the bases, with a 3-run triple. In the bottom of the 7th, Joe Horchuck would draw a walk. Frankie Fusca would drive in Joe with his double. Ed Colgan would draw a walk. Chris Lansberry would single, walking this one off as Fusca crossed the plate. The Cartel wins 16 - 15.

Player of the Game: Joe Horchuck - Moxon’s Cartel - 2 for 4 - 4 runs scored, 2B, 1 RBI, 1 BB, 1 3B

***Shout out to scorekeeper, Fern. In the words of Billy Joel, "Life is a series of hellos and goodbyes." For now, it's goodbye... until next week!
