Game 1: Pigeon Boyz vs. Bird Gang
Two runs come in for PB in the top of the first with doubles by Tom Ivers and Brandon Birkhead. BG answers with three runs in the bottom of the first on walks and singles. PB plates three more runs in the top of the second. BG plates two more runs in the bottom of the fifth. Fran Benson knocks in the game winning run for BG in the bottom of the seventh. Bird Gang walks it off over the Pigeon Boyz, 6-5.
Game 2: Dirty Dozen vs. Ball Busters
Singles lead to four runs for DD in the top of the first. BB answers with six runs in the bottom of the first on singles, and a two run triple by Ken Stein. DD plates two runs in the top of the third. DD bats around in the top of the fourth to get nine runs on singles. Zach Lyall blasts a solo homer for BB in the bottom of the fifth. DD puts up two more runs in the top of the sixth. Dirty Dozen takes down the Ball Busters, 20-12.
Game 3: Ball Busters vs. Doom Cats
BB gets three runs in the top of the first. DC answers with two runs in the bottom of the first. Jay S rips a double as two runs come in for BB in the top of the third. A double by Jimmy Craig helps DC push three runs across in the bottom of the fourth. BB rallies for two runs in the top of the seventh. In the bottom of the seventh Chris Hackney steps to the plate and rips a two out three run game winning single for DC. The Doom Cats walk it off in dramatic fashion over the Ball Busters, 9-8.
Game 4: Vertex vs. Silverbacks
The Silverbacks take the lead in the bottom of the third on singles, and a two run double by Laprece Bellamy. Vertex gets on the board with a run in the top of the fourth. Doubles by Ian Cuozzo and Rich Beck net the Silverbacks two runs in the bottom of the fourth. Evan Porter smashes a two run homer for Vertex in the top of the fifth. A leadoff triple by Phil Bandini helps the Silverbacks get a run in the bottom of the fifth. The Silverbacks top Vertex, 7-3.
B South
Hatfield
Game 1: Birds of War vs. Web Gems
WG puts up three runs in the bottom of the first with RBI doubles by Andrew Alexander and Eric Adiletto. John Aiken blasts a three run homer for WG in the bottom of the second. BOW gets on the board with two runs in the top of the third. BOW adds two runs in the top of the fourth. A leadoff double by Matt Jacobson nets BOW a run in the top of the fifth. WG pushes four runs across in the bottom of the fifth on doubles by John Aiken and Andrew Alexander, and an Anthony Izzi two run triple. Tom Bush smokes a three run triple for BOW in the top of the sixth. WG bats around in the bottom of the sixth to score ELEVEN runs on singles, a two run double by Andrew Alexander, and an Anthony Izzi three run homer. The Web Gems beat up on Birds of War, 23-8.
Game 2: Rolling Rocks vs. The Naturals
Steve Collins smokes a two run double for RR in the top of the first. TN bats around in the bottom of the first to get three runs thanks to a two run triple by Nick Ryan. A leadoff triple by Jay Cowan help RR score a run in the top of the third. Rob Wardrop rips a two run triple for TN in the bottom of the third. RR bats around in the top of the fourth to get seven runs on singles, a double by Casey Condron, and a Jay Cowan three run homer. A leadoff triple by Jay Cowan nets RR a run in the top of the seventh. TN rallies for a run in the bottom of the seventh. Rolling Rocks tops The Naturals, 12-10.
Game 3: Vikings vs. Isotopes
The Vikings bat around in the top of the first to score ELEVEN runs on singles, a double by Craig Richards, and triples by Craig Richards and John Walsh. The Isotopes get on the board with four runs in the bottom of the second on walks and singles. The Vikings bat around again in the top of the third to plate ELEVEN more runs thanks to doubles by Adam Weaver, John Walsh, and Jacob Gladish. Singles net the Isotopes three runs in the bottom of the fourth. The Vikings demolish the Isotopes, 27-8.
Game 4: Mud Dogs vs. Do Work
Sam Matos smokes a two run double for MD in the top of the first. DW answers with three runs in the bottom of the first. MD plates two runs in the top of the second. Back to back doubles by Luke Plummer and Jim McHale help DW put up two runs in the bottom of the third. MD adds two runs in the top of the fourth with a double by Joe Bradley. Scott Chmura smashes a three run homer for DW in the bottom of the sixth. MD breaks the tie in the top of the seventh with two runs thanks to a Matt Figueroa double. The Mud Dogs top Do Work, 11-9.
