Game #1 – Knuckleheads vs. Flour Power

Both teams seemed to still sleeping on the field until the third inning, when Jamie Burns knocks in a run on a single. John Schofield will add another RBI single to give Knuckleheads a 2-0 lead. Knuckleheads will bring their lead up to 6-0 after RBI singles from Corey Larwa and Eden Harvest. Steph Farrar also added a run on a sac fly. Flour Power will get on the board in the sixth on a Zach Paley RBI single, but runs will be hard to come by in this one as Knuckleheads play lockdown defense. Chris Hackney will put this game to rest with a three run bomb in the seventh. Knuckleheads win 12-2.

Player of the Game:
John Schofield (Knuckleheads) – 4/4, 2 RBI’s

Game #2 – Wackers vs. Hattricks

Wackers come out with solo bombs off the bat of Alex Freeman and Bill Brancato. Dan Vescovi also added a run on a single. Hattricks get five runs back in the bottom of the inning. Mark McCouch and Ed Reynolds hit back to back singles while Rob Schuh nets a run on a double. Zac Talmadge knocks in a run on a double as well. Wackers will respond in a big way in the second with six runs. Brancato nets another run, this time with a double, while Jarret Kerns helps the cause with an RBI single. The fourth is where the Wackers start to pull away. Frank Fusca and Dan Vescovi both net two run doubles, and Brancato stayed red hot with two more singles in the inning. Bill Brancato (Wackers) – 5/5, 3 2B’s, HR, 4 RBI’s

Game #3 – Muckdogs vs. Quality Landscape

Quality looks to come out and start early, getting two runs on a Tom Commell double. Muckdogs respond with two sac flies from Mike Z and Jeff Kulp. The second was a much better inning for Muckdogs as they push 10 runs across. Stpeh Thrasher had a two run single, while Kimmie Hicks, Roger A, Mike Z and Kulp had RBI singles. Eric Schade added a two run double in the inning as well as they lead 12-2. The game would get a lot easier for Muckdogs as the Quality bat’s really start to cool down. Pat Smith drives in one more run for Quality, but that’s where the scoring will end for them. Muckdogs keep the pressure on, with Bill Hamal smashing a three run bomb late. Muckdogs win 19-3.
