Game One: Sons of Pitches @ Cobra Kai
The Kai would take this game right from the jump, posting 6 runs in the first 2 innings. Austin Linde and Mike Fischer each would score twice. But from that point on, the Kai would struggle offensively. SofP’s would start slow scoring 3 runs throught the first 4 innings. In the 5th, Ray Embrardt, Bobby Hartzell, Josh Carl, and Trevor Harris would all find homeplate. But it was Harris’s 2nd run that would tip the scales. SofP’s win 8-7.

Player of the Game: Trevor Harris, SofP’s, 3 for 4, 2 runs scored, 1 RBI.

Game Two: Cobra Kai @ Generals
Donnie Squartino and Corey Gomez must have switched bodies as Donnie racked up a series of base hits, and Corey would put one deep into outerspace. The Kai totaled 22 runs - including a selfish solo shot from ROb Thomkinson. The Generals had a few money innings, posting a fistful of runs in each. Jon Muniz would score 3 times on the night, and 4 other teammates would score twice a piece. But only to grab 14 runs, 8 short of the Kai.

Player of the Game: Donnie Squartino, 5 for 5, 3 RBIs, 4 runs scored, 2 2Bs.

Game Three: Cannoneers @ Generals
Generally speaking, scoring 7 runs against the champs in 4 innings isn’t going to be enough to play the 5th. Well, the champs would chalk up 25 runs - 5 of which were scored by Josh Kennedy. Mike Skrzat scored 4 and hit a dinger. Wilson Miller would score 4 times himself, and Brian Wrigley banged a grand slam. Cannoneers cruise.

Player of the Game: Mike Skrzat, Cannoneers, 4 for 6, 1 HR, 2 RBIs, 4 runs scored, 1 2B.

Game Four: Cannoneers @ Dirty Dozen
D12 started slowly, but a 9 run 3rd inning flipped the momentum in this one. Cody Nash hit a 3 run homer in this stretch. A few more would be added in the 5th, setting up for quite a finish. The Cannoneers also started slowly - but found a series of homers to rack up some runs. 3 run homers were hit by Kyle Morrow, Wilson Miller, and Dan Powell. Late in the 7th, the game was tied 14-14, and Mike Gallo of the Cannoneers would blast a solo shot… for an out, as the Cannoneers were over the limt. Game ended in a tie. 14-14.

Player of the Game: No one wins in a tie.

Game Five: Misfits @ Dirty Dozen
This rock fight would end 6-5. Yuck. The Misfits would score 3 to open the game and then nothing for the next 4 innings. D12 started the game scoreless for 4 innings. Yuck again. D12 would grab 5 runs behind an RBI double from Chris Hackney and a sac fly from Andrew Alexander. But it was Misfit, Matty Bookheimer’s solo shot in the 6th and Tim Caldwell’s RBI groundout that would give the ‘Fits the win, 6-5.

Player of the Game: Matt Friend, Misfits, 1 for 2, RBI, run scored.

Game Six: Misfits @ Sons of Pitches
The Misfits would start this game as the away team…. But that’s not how it would end. The gruesome flip-flop rule would come into play as SofP’s wouldn’t be able to stop the bleeding. 19 runs would pour in over 4 innings. At one point, 8 straight Misfit batters would get on base and all score a run. John Keifer homered in the first inning and JB Jordan had an RBI triple in the 3rd. SofP’s get flip-flopped and lose 19-6.

Player of the Game: John Keifer, Misfits, 2 for 3, BB, HR, 4 RBIs, 2 runs scored.

***Shout out to scorekeepers, Fern. In the words of Billy Joel, "Life is a series of hellos and goodbyes." For now, it's goodbye... until next week!
