Game #1 – Wehrung’s vs. Flour Power

Wehrung’s get rolling right out of the gate with a Lowell Snyder two run single. Adam Hendricks added another run on a fielder’s choice. Flour Power starts off slow with no runs in the first three innings. Flour Power will get their first run on a solo bomb off the bat of Chris Lento. Wehrung’s quickly answer with an RBI double from Douglas Moninghoff. RBI singles from Cindy Synder and Lowell Synder increase their lead to 7-1. Wehrung’s will run away in the sixth and seventh innings. Wyatt Schilling will smash a big three run bomb while Ryan Hines nets a run on a single. Wehrung’s win 19-2.

Game #2 – Hattricks vs. Muckdogs

Tony Cabot gets Muckdogs rolling with an RBI double, followed up by a Jeff Kulp RBI single. Hattricks would take the lead in the second getting three runs. Zac Talmadge smashed a two run bomb and a couple of batters later, Paul Hensler added a run on a walk. Muckdogs would take the lead again, with two more runs. Stephanie Thrasher and Tom Trumbauer had the RBI’s in the inning. Muckdogs would get six more runs across the third and fourth inning. Bill Hamill knocked in two runs on a single and Tony Cabot smashed a three run bomb. Hattricks will get three more runs in the fifth trying to fight back in this one. Jeff Kulp will get two insurance runs in the fifth to help secure the win for Muckdogs. Hattricks would get a couple more runs, but would fall short. Muckdogs win 12-8.

Game #3 – Altek vs. Muckdogs

The last game of the night gets rolling with a four run inning. Nick Cataldi starts the scoring with an RBI single followed by a Casey Marhon RBI double. Bob Wenner then draws an RBI walk later in the inning. Muckdogs get three back in the bottom of the inning, two coming an error and another on a Mike Zahradnick fielder’s choice. Altek respond in the top of the second with a five run inning. Cataldi was back at it, smashing a grand slam this time. Tony Cabot responds for Muckdogs with a grand slam of his own, as homers seem to be the theme of this game. We head to the bottom of the sixth with Altek leading 12-9. That would quickly get flipped as Muckdogs bat around and put up a massive 15 runs. Kulp had five RBI’s with a three run bomb and two run double, while Jeff Hess netted two runs on a double of his own. Muckdogs end up winning big in this one and will take it.
