Game #1 – Poco’s vs. Carroll’s

Poco’s get rolling in this championship series with a Bill Hamill and Jeff Kulp RBI single, taking an early 2-0 lead. Tony Cabot knocks in one more run on a fielder’s choice as they lead 3-0. Carroll’s get one more run back on a Greg Lesher solo bomb. Defense dominates the second inning before Poco’s drop another five runs in the third. Hamill was back at it again, this time an RBI double, while Cabot, Jeff Hess and Brielle Eve have RBI singles. Lesher will smash a two run bomb in the fourth for Carroll’s as he tries to carry the load for Carroll’s in this one. He will also smash a two run bomb in the sixth, but this first game is all Poco’s. Eric Shade will add a late RBI single as well as Will Marsden as they take game one, with only one more game to go until hositing those championship shirts. Poco’s win 12-5.

Game #2 – Carroll’s vs. Poco’s

Game 2 gets started a lot like the first game for Carroll’s, very slow. Poco’s will get an RBI single from Jeff Kulp as they take a 1-0 lead. They will push that lead up to 3-0 when Jeff Hess nets a run on a sac fly and a Brielle Eve fielder’s choice. We fast forward to the fourth, when Carroll’s will grab their first run, on a Bill Shipe RBI single. A Greg Lesher RBI single in the sixth will be the only other run that Carroll’s will grab in this one. That is going to make this series hard to win as they can’t stop Poco’s from scoring a little. Poco’s will grab a couple more runs and flash the leather on the way to the chip. Poco’s will win this one 6-2 and take home the Spring Title.
