DePaul Brothers (4) vs. Hattricks (2)

Game 1

Hattricks got on the board first with a run in the first inning on a solo home run by Josh Graef. DePauls responded aggressively with six runs in the second taking advantage of singles and RBI doubles by Bill Schubert and Jeff Tongue. Hattricks responded with two of their own on a two run home run by Bob Scott. DePaul gets them runs back in the third with singles and a double by Steve Johnson. Hattricks again responded this time adding four with help from a three run home run by Christian Voglar. Only one more run would be scored in the game and that was a solo home run by Steve Johnson in the sixth. DePaul Brothers takes game 1, 9-7.



Game 2


In another low scoring game neither team would get a run until the fourth when DePaul would get three on singles and a two run double by Jeff Tongue. DePaul would add another run in the fifth. Hattricks finally got the bats going in the sixth with a double by John Scott and home runs by Bob Scott and Tyler Roetman to plate five and take a 5-4 lead. DePaul wouldn't be denied and took the lead right back with two in the bottom half of the inning with back to back homeruns by Steve Walker and Steve Johnson. Hattrixcks would tie this one up at 6 in the seventh with an RBI double by Basil Papanicolopoulos. In the eighth Hattricks get a base runner but leave them stranded. DePaul would get a K to start taking a walk and then another K. With two outs a single by Steve Walker and the walk off single by Steve Johnson. DePaul Brothers win game two and take home the B West Championship!!
