Game #1 – Mott-Ley Crew vs. Hattrick’s

Crew get rolling a week after the rain outs, with a five run first inning. Anthony Rapposelli, Jon Motts and CJ Motts drive in runs on back to back to back RBI doubles. Zac Talmadge gets them one run back on a solo bomb. Crew break out again with a four run third, thanks to a CJ Motts solo bomb, and Kaelynn Motts two run single. Hattrick’s finally get rolling in the third, getting six runs. Talmadge was back at it, this time a grand salami. Ed Reynolds followed it up a batter later with a solo bomb. CJ Motts matches Talmadge homer with a three run bomb of his own as they lead 13-6. Hattrick’s will get three runs in the bottom of the inning, two more runs from Ed Reynolds. Hattrick’s will go completely cold then, as they won’t put more any more runs up. Crew keep their foot on the pedal with eight more runs. Jon Motts jumps on the home run bandwagon, grabbing a three run bomb. Crew will run away and win this one easy, 21-10.

Player of the Game:
CJ Motts (Crew) – 4/5, 2 2B’s, 2 HR’s, 7 RBI’s

Game #2 – Wackers vs. Carroll’s

We get started in this defensive showdown with both teams flashing the leather. Nonny is diving around collecting dirt like it’s his playground. Nonny will then break that tie with a solo bomb deep into the woods, crushing it way over the fence. Bill Brancato will smash a solo bomb a few batters later. Wackers will add one in the fourth on a Rich Stead RBI single before Carroll’s get on the board. Bill Shipe will net them their first run on a sac fly. Again, both teams flash the leather and we head to the seventh, before we see any more action. Wackers net two runs on a Nonny double and Jay Pane fielder’s choice, giving them some insurance runs. Carroll’s grab a run on a Sarah Yoos sac fly and Shipe single, but that is where it would end as Carroll’s come up just short. Wackers win 5-3.

Player of the Game:
Sean Nonemacher (Wackers) – 2 2B’s, HR, 2 RBI’s

Game #3 – Carroll’s vs. Eddie’s

Carroll’s get started in their second game of the doubleheader, but again fall behind. Eddie’s get three runs on a three run bomb from Brian Dart. Carroll’s will grab two runs in the second on an Adam Roman RBI double and Mike Stacey sac fly. Carroll’s will grab their first lead of the day with a five run third. Bryan Bart had a two run single, while Greg Lesher added one run on an RBI single. Eddie’s respond fast and get six runs in the bottom of the inning. Dart starts the scoring with an RBI double followed by RBI singles from Tony Oliver, Mark Smith, Katie Cherba and Brian Dayton. Eddies will grab two more in the fourth on another homer, this time a solo bomb and a sac fly from Dayton. Back and forth we go as Carroll’s will take the lead again in the sixth after a four run inning. Mike Stacey smashes a two run bomb in the inning while Kevin Shinkunas added two runs on a single. Eddies will come back in the seventh and walk this one off. Linda Dart will hit the walkoff as she drives in a win and Eddie’s will take it. Eddies win 13-12.

Player of the Game:
Brian Dart (Eddie’s) – 4/4, 2B, 2 HR’s, 5 RBI’s

Player of the Week:
CJ Motts (Crew) – 4/5, 2 2B’s, 2 HR’s, 7 RBI’s
