Game #1 – Poco’s vs. Wackers

Will Marsdan gets the party started with an RBI single in the first inning. They will add another run in the third inning before Wackers get their day started. Bill Brancato has the big shot with a three run bomb while Nonny drives in a run on a hit of his own. Poco’s will bring this game back to within a run with RBI singles from Bill Hamill, Eric Shade and Marsdan. Poco’s will grab the lead in the fifth on a sac fly from Hamill, RBI single from Justin Kabana and massive RBI triple from Brett Anker. A Liv Foster two run single in the sixth bump their lead up to 11-6. Here come the Wackers, with a big sixth inning comeback. Jay Pane, Bill Brancato, Bill Shallcross and Dennis D’Angelo have four straight RBI singles, followed by a two run triple from Dan Vescovi. Poco’s will tie this game up with a Marsdan RBI single taking us to the bottom of the seventh. Nonny will get into scoring position with another double added to his resume. Tess Frelick will play hero as she drives in the winning run and Wackers will win this one. Wackers win 13-12.

Game #2 – Knuckleheads vs. Garges Gang

Knuckleheads get rolling with three runs out of the gate. Steph Farrer and Jamie Burns had RBI singles in the inning. Garges answer back with two runs of their own on RBI singles from Chritian Hazzlit and Donna Hazzlit. Knuckleheads double their first run output with six runs this time. John Schofield knocks in two on a double, while Katie Cherba knocks in one with a double. Knuckleheads will put their head down and continue to hit late in the game as well keeping this one out of reach. Farrer would add two more hits and two more RBI’s while Mike Cebzanoz also add two runs on three singles. Garges will struggle at the plate and only get six runs total in this one as they fall. Knuckleheads win 15-6.

Game #3 – Mott-Ley Crew vs. Wehrung

Wehrung’s will get it started in the second inning with three runs. Luke Hendricks grabs a run on a double while Erik Senderling knocks in two with a single. Crew will tie this game in the third, with an Anthony Rapposselli RBI double and a couple errors. Crew will take the lead in the fourth with a Carl Motts RBI double and Ian Kacergis RBI single as they lead 6-3. Cindy Snyder will bring this game to within one after a two run single. Wehrung’s bats would go ice cold after that. Crew’s would head up with back to back RBI triples from Jon Motts and CJ Motts while Rapposelli adds another run on another double. Crew will put this game away with four more runs in the seventh. Jon Motts was back at it with an RBI double, while Carl Motts added a run on a triple. Crew win 14-5.

Game #4 – Carroll’s vs. Wehrung’s

Carroll’s get rolling with a Bill Shipe RBI single and Adam Roman fielder’s choice as they lead 2-0. They will get two more runs on a John Zeits RBI single and Sarah Yoos fielder’s choice. Wehrung’s wake up and get four runs in the second. Luke Hendricks delivered the big shot with a three run bomb. Doug Moninghoff then adds another with a solo bomb of his own. Wehrung’s will keep their bats rolling in the third. Hendricks back at it with a two run single and Moninghoff with an RBI single. Both teams go quiet for a bit as we head to the sixth with Wehrung’s added two insurance runs. Carroll’s will get a runner on base, but can’t get anything started as they will fall in this one. Wehrung’s win 10-7.
