Game #1 – Jive Turkeys vs. Wehrung’s

Wehrung’s will come out strong in this one grabbing seven runs across the first three innings. Luke Hendricks knocks in a run with an RBI single, Bobby Snyder knocks in two runs with a double and Lowell Snyder knocked in a run on a sac fly. Jill Moninghoff and Alex Poniktera also knock in runs with singles across the first three innings. Turkeys get their first offense in the fourth with a Kolton Wunder RBI double, followed by two runs on a Bridget Birkhead RBI single and Adam Fantasky RBI double. Turkeys will grab four more runs in the sixth on an RBI double from Anthony Stella, and RBI singles from Brian Stella and Andrew Maxhem. The game is tied heading into the seventh, and that is where we will stand after seven innings of play. Turkeys take the lead with an RBI single from Wunder as they lead 8-7 heading to the bottom of the inning. Luke Hendricks walks this off with a two run bomb as Wehrung’s will win this. Wehrung’s win 9-8.

Game #2 – The Runs vs. Poco’s

The Runs grab a run on an Erik Cusano solo bomb in the second inning kicking off the scoring in this one. The Runs will grab one more run in the third with a single and error. Runs bump their lead up to 4-0 after back to back RBI triples from Cusano and Bobby Ridenour. Poco’s grab a run back on an April Showaker fielder’s choice. Poco’s will get to within a run in the fifth on an RBI walk from Jeff Hess and Eric Shade RBI single. We head to the seventh and Runs trail by three. Runs come up in a big way and grab an RBI double from Matt Kovaleski, and RBI singles from Ridenour and Balash to take the lead. Poco’s come up short in the bottom of the inning and will lose this one by one. The Runs win 8-7.
