Game 1: Philly Junk vs. Vertex

PJ takes the early lead with a run in the top of the first. Doubles by Sean Nonemacher and Chris Beatty net Vertex two runs in the bottom of the first. Singles give PJ three runs in the top of the second. PJ puts up seven runs in the top of the third thanks to singles, two run doubles by Evan Porter, Jeremy Villano, and KC Ingram, and a Ryan Swan triple. Mike Gilbert rips an RBI triple for PJ in the top of the fourth. Bill Brancato rips an RBI double for Vertex in the bottom of the fourth. PJ picks up a run in the top of the seventh. Philly Junk wins the first game, 15-3.

Game 2: Vertex vs. Philly Junk

Vertex scores five runs in the top of the first on singles. A leadoff triple by Mike Gilbert helps PJ get two runs in the bottom of the first. Jeremy Villano smokes an RBI triple for PJ in the bottom of the second. Vertex bats around in the top of the fourth to pick up TEN runs on singles, and RBI triples by Ryan Hensman and Chris Beatty. PJ scores five runs in the bottom of the fifth thanks to doubles by Tom Ivers and Jake Haber. Vertex adds on a run in the top of the seventh. PJ rallies for four runs in the bottom of the seventh on singles. Vertex out slugs Philly Junk to win the second game, 19-13.

Game 3: Philly Junk vs. Vertex

Vertex bats around in the bottom of the first to score seven runs on singles, and a double by Sean Nonemacher. Jeremy Villan jacks a solo homer for PJ in the top of the second. Singles give PJ two runs in the top of the third. CJ Snyder rips an RBI double for Vertex in the bottom of the third. PJ puts up five runs in the top of the fourth on singles, doubles by Brandon Birkhead and Jeremy Villano, and a Shane Hanna two run triple. PJ gets three more runs in the top of the fifth. A leadoff triple by Ryan Hensman helps Vertes put up a run in the bottom of the fifth. A leadoff double by Frank Staber and a CJ Steiner RBI triple helps Vertex tie the game in the bottom of the seventh. Chris Beatty then rips the game winning and series clinching single for Vertex in the bottom of the seventh. Vertex walks it off in the third game, 12-11, and captures the summer crown.

B South

Lukens III

Game 1: Palmetto Street vs. Vikings

A leadoff double by Dave Ruggerio nets PS a run in the top of the second. The Vikings get a run in the bottom of the second. The Vikings plate four runs in the bottom of the third on singles, and a two run triple by Zach Walsh. The Vikings bat around in the bottom of the fourth to score TEN runs on walks, singles, and a Zach Walsh grand slam. PS scores four runs in the top of the fifth on singles, and a double by Zach Picarello. Triples by Zach Picarello and Dave Ruggerio help PS put up four runs in the top of the sixth. Back to back doubles by Brad Millens and Mike Michini helps the Vikings put up two runs in the bottom of the sixth. PS rallies for three runs in the top of the seventh thanks to doubles by Frankie Pirrone and Walt Truxell. The Vikings out slug Palmetto Street, 18-13.

Game 2: Dead Ringers vs. Rolling Rocks

A triple by Harrison Leal get DR on the board with a run in the top of the first. RR answers with four runs on singles in the bottom of the first. A leadoff triple by Jose Pittmann nets DR a run in the top of the second. Walks and singles net DR four runs in the top of the third. Rob Worthington rips a two run double in the bottom of the third. DR bats around in the top of the fourth to plate seven runs on walks, singles, and RBI doubles by Randy Brymer and Chris Shaffer. RR bats around in the bottom of the fourth to get six runs with back to back two run doubles by Randy Worthington and Harry Steglich. Justin Longo smokes a two run triple for DR in the top of the fifth. RR rallies for two runs in the bottom of the seventh. The Dead Ringers squeak by Rolling Rocks, 17-16.

Game 3: Vikings vs. Stiff Sox

SS plates five runs in the bottom of the first thanks to a Tyler Fornwalt two run triple, and a two run homer by Nick Purshock. The Vikings put up five runs in the top of the second on singles, and a two run double by Neeb Negron. SS adds six runs in the bottom of the third on singles, and RBI doubles by Jeff Rodriguez and Antonio Almeida. Back to back RBI doubles by Nick Purshock and Kurt Krout help SS get three runs in the bottom of the fourth. A leadoff double by Brad Millens nets the Vikings a run in the top of the sixth. The Stiff Sox take care of the Vikings, 17-7.

Game 4: Dead Ringers vs. Do Work

DW takes the lead in the bottom of the first with two runs A leadoff double by Jose Pittman nets DR a run in the top of the second. A Harrison Leal double nets DR a run in the top of the third. DW bats around in the bottom of the fourth to add seven runs on walks and singles. Singles get DR four runs in the top of the fifth. Back to back RBI doubles by Randy Brymer and Jose Pittman help DR score four runs in the top of the sixth. DW pushes nine runs across in the bottom of the sixth on singles, doubles by Scott Chmura and Adam Allman, and a Rich Zupuski two run homer. Do Work beats Dead Ringers, 19-11.
