Game #1 – Hattricks vs. Altek

Altek will get the fall season rolling on a good foot, grabbing seven runs right out of the gate. Kevin Cwikla gets the first RBI for the year, followed by a Chris Lento RBI single and Mike Maglio two run single. Lily Cross and Ciarra Clements also add RBI’s in the inning. Hattricks will get two runs back in the second inning on a Stephanie Green fielder’s choice and Ray Barry RBI single. A Zac Talmadge RBI triple nets Hattricks another run in the third. Altek get back to it in the third and fourth with four more runs. Adam Volpe draws a bases loaded walk and Lily Cross will add another RBI on a single. That’s all Altek would need in this one as they shut it down defensively and win this one. Atlek wins 11-3.

Game #2 – Blue Devils vs. Pancake Batters

Blue Devils get the second game of the night rolling and will bat around in their first inning. Shane Mulvihill strikes first for the Devils with a sac fly before Andy Yurkanin and Lauren Albertson draw back to back RBI walks. Greg Rosato then delivers the big shot with a grand slam. Devils will jump out to an early lead grabbing seven total. Pancake Batters strike back with two runs in the bottom of the inning. Matt Bound smacks an RBI triple while Pat Malloy nets a run on a double. Devils will keep their hot bats going grabbing four more runs in the second. Yurkanin this time nets a run on a double while Rosato and Josh Owens knock in a pair on RBI singles. Defense would then dominate the middle part of the game, while everything is doing their inner nonny defense. Pancake Batters whip up a batch and will net three runs in the sixth, thanks to a Jimmy Weigers RBI double and a two run triple from Lexi Edwards. That’s all they would be able to muster up as Devils will take this one. Blue Devils win 12-7.

Game #3 – Carroll’s vs. The Maize

The final game of the night starts off as a defensive showdown with both teams going down without any runs in the first. Maize will strike in the bottom of the second with a solo bomb from Christian Hazlett. Greg Lesher than ties this game up in the third with an RBI single as we are all squared away after three innings of play. Matt Bugenhagen will give Maize the lead again with an RBI single. Maize really get trucking grabbing another run in the sixth from a Gary Kleinschmidt solo homer. Carroll’s will save their best for the last inning as they are finally able to heat up a little bit. Lesher will start the scoring with an RBI single followed by a Bill Shipe RBI double. Hallie Bilker adds some insurance with an RBI single and Steve DiGiovanni really gets some extra insurance with a two run single. Maize steps up in the bottom of the inning, but can’t get anything going and will fall. Carroll’s win 7-3.
