Game #1 – Eddies vs. Wackers

Wackers get rolling with a six run first inning. Bill Brancato starts the scoring with an RBI double followed by an Alex Freeman RBI triple. Dan Vescovi and Bill Shallcross net them three more runs with a single and double respectfully. Eddies will grab a run in the second, but Wackers will come right back out with more. Back to back four run innings jump the lead up to 14-1 after three innings of the play. The scoring is highlighted by a bases clearing triple from Doubles Nonny, a rare occurance. Jay Pane will end this one early with an RBI single and then some defense shutting down the next inning as they will mercy Eddies. Wackers win 16-1.

Game #2 – Poco’s vs. Wehrung’s

Poco’s will come out with a two run first inning grabbing an early lead. Jeff Hess and Eric Shade have RBI’s in the inning. Wehrung’s cut that in half getting one run back in the bottom of the inning on a Dave Nagle sac fly. Poco’s get back to scoring in the second, with RBI singles from Jamie Richards and Brett Anker. Wackers are back at it again, this time with their super sub Jay Pane grabbing two runs on a double. Eric Shade adds a run on an RBI double while Rick Smith adds a run on a single. We fast forward to the sixth when Poco’s erupt for eight runs. Rick Smith highlights the inning again with a two run triple, while Pane nets two more runs on a single. Doug Moninghoff had done his best in the third with a two run single, but Poco’s are too much for Wehrung’s today. Poco’s win 20-5.

Game #3 – Carroll’s vs. Knuckleheads

Knuckleheads get the easy win as Carroll’s can’t field a team tonight.

Game #4 – Maize vs. Hattricks

The final game of the night gets started with fireworks as Hattricks come out with eight runs right out of the gate. Joe Perry starts the scoring with a two run double, followed by an RBI single from Zac Talmadge. Erik Stalford scores two on a triple before Rob Schun adds another on a single of his own. After shutting down Maize in the bottom of the inning, Hattricks go back to work and get four more in the second. Stalford was back to work with an RBI double, while Ed Reynolds adds a run on a single. Maize struggle only grabbing one run across the first four innings. Hattricks will continue to add to their lead grabbing three runs in the fourth. Stalford adds two more to his total with a double. Maize have their biggest inning with a four run fifth, getting two RBI’s each from Tom Eggitto and Will D, but it won’t be enough. Hattricks add some late insurance runs and will win this. Hattricks win 18-6.
