Game #1 – The Runs vs. Poco’s

The Runs get started with a run on a fielder’s choices from Jon Suchy and an error to give them the early lead. Poco’s will take the lead in the bottom of the inning on a RBI double from Tony Cabot then two run bomb off the bat of Eric Schade. Runs will grab the lead back in the third inning with five runs. Kyle Exner and Suchy have RBI singles while Amy Balash adds a two run single. Poco’s will get one run back on an Eric Schade RBI double. Back and forth we go as both teams add runs in the fourth. Poco’s will grab five runs in the fifth and take the lead. Brett Anker and Bill Hamill go back to back with triples driving three runs in. Runs will grab one more run in the sixth, but are going to come up just short in this one. Poco’s win 11-10.

Game #2 – Knuckleheads vs. Hattricks

This game starts off very slowly with only one run scored over the first two innings of play. A Jon Poore bomb into the woods is the only run produced. Knuckleheads then score five in the third, with a RBI single from John Schofield, RBI double from Stephanie Farrar and three run bomb from Poore, his second homer of the game. Hattricks will fight back in the bottom of the inning finally getting on the board with three runs. Shawn Arbogast had an RBI double, followed by RBI singles from Bob Kolecki and Ray Barry. Knuckleheads bat around in the fourth and get six more runs. Jon Poore clears the bases with a single while John Kiefer knocks in two with a single of his own. Knuckleheads will take control of this game and continue to add on. Poore will smash another three run bomb in the seventh, adding to his massive game. Shawn Arbogast adds a three run bomb in the losing effort for Hattricks. Knuckleheads win 18-7.

Game #3 – Mott-Ley Crew vs. Carroll’s

Crew looks to get off on the right foot with a big first inning and complete that with a five run first inning. Ian Kacergis starts it with a sac fly, followed by RBI singles from Kaelyn Motts and Anthony Rapposelli. Carly Levin adds a bases clearing double to round out the inning. Crew keep it rolling in the second, getting four more runs, three of which come from a three run triple from Brady Mengel. Mengel was back at it with a three run bomb in the third as they continue their offensive surge in this one. Greg Reilly and Larissa Motts add RBI singles in the inning. Caroll’s will continue to struggle in this one and can only manage one run on a RBI single from Greg. Crew will take care of business and end this one early. Crew win 17-1.
