Game One: American Legion @ The Yard
The reigning, defending champs found themselves behind as they’d go scoreless through 4 innings. In the final 3 innings, they’d scratch out 4 runs. Jordan Valentine would walk twice and score twice. Tom Gallo and Dan Powell each would post a run. The Yard would play nearly the exact same way, as they were scoreless through 3 innings. In the fourth, Jay Pane and MoRod would lead off with singles. Mr. Poore then emptied the bases with a 3-run dinger. Bob Grosch would later drive in two, helping the Yard grab game one, with an 8-4 victory.

Game Two: The Yard @ American Legion
Game two started off the same. The Yard was scoreless in the first. But Shawn Hines would make sure Legion posted runs, as he’d hit a 2-run bomb. Which led to a 5-run 3rd inning and a 4-run 4th inning. Legion gets redemption winning game two, 11-3. Jake Engleman homered, Hines homered a 2nd time. 3 other Legion players would homer for outs, as they were over the limit. Legion flexed their power in game two.

Game Three: American Legion @ The Yard
Game 3 opened with Legion posting 2 runs in the first, and 6 more in the 2nd. Over those 2 innings, Shawn Hines would homer, drive in 4, and score twice. Jordan Valentine would walk, get on base via an error, and score twice. Dan Powell would later homer, as would Jordan Valentine. 2 more Legion-ers would homer for outs. The Yard scored only 2 runs, both by Jay Pane. The reigning, defending champions of the world remain on top, as they win, 12-2.

***Shout out to scorekeeper, Fern. In the words of S. Carter, “A wise man told me don't argue with fools. Cause people from a distance can't tell who is who.”
