Game 1: One Hit Wonders vs Wolfpack

Wolfpack got first at bats and went down after four batters, scoring no runs. One Hit Wonders wasted no time after a leadoff double by Dan Cripps, Jimmy Cooker knocked him in with an RBI single and then Rob Gisondi had an RBI single himself to give One Hit Wonders a 2-0 lead after one. Wolfpack answered in the top of the 2nd after a couple lead off walks, Dave Barth, Dave McCauley and Matt Sheehan all had RBI singles while Matt Horn added an RBI sac fly to go up two and that is where we would sit after two as the Wolfpack defense was able to shut down One Hit Wonder's bats. Wolfpack could not keep the momentum going in top of the 3rd and went down in order. One Hit Wonders cut the lead in half in the bottom of the 3rd on a homerun by Andy Springer. Wolfpack got the run back in the top of the 4th on a Horn RBI single. One Hit Wonders got a couple of runners on in the bottom of the 4th but could not push anyone across leaving the score 5-3 after the 4th. Kris Karaba homered in the top of the 5th to extend Wolfpack's lead to three going into the bottom of the 5th. Cripps and Cooker got the offense going again with two singles to start the inning and both would come around to score on an RBI sac fly by Springer and a Jesse Grasso RBI double. Bill Groff scored Grasso on his RBI single to tie the game at six a piece after the 5th inning. Wolfpack got back out front in the top of the 6th after an error brought in Horn. One Hit Wonders was unable to get anything going on offense in the sixth as Wolfpack maintained a one run lead going into the 7th.Wolfpack could not add an insurance run and gave One Hit Wonders a chance to send the game to extras or win the game. Cooker stayed hot at the plate and got the inning started with a leadoff double and Grasso delivered an RBI single to tie the game and put the winning run-on base. Grasso got to third after a walk and a flyout, but Wolfpack made a game saving play at second base to extend the game. In extras, Wolfpack took advantage of a couple walks and scored three runs on an RBI single by Dan Kalonoski and a two run RBI single by Anthony Perritti. One Hit Wonders needing another comeback to try and win the game went down in order, giving the win to the Wolfpack. Wolfpack win in extras 10-7.

Game 2: Purple Cobras vs Doc's

Doc's Austin Kooker led off the game with a single and scored on an RBI single by Brett Keszczyk to go ahead 1-0. Purple Cobras came right back in the bottom of the 1st scoring four runs of their own with RBI singles by Steve Gardner and CJ Brancato and RBI doubles by Josh Reed and Jordan Roman to put Purple Cobras up 4-1 after the 1st. Doc's got one run back in the top of the 2nd on Matt Fronheiser's RBI single and were able to keep their deficit at 2 after shutting down the Purple Cobras defense in the bottom of the 2nd. Doc's kept the momentum going in the top of the 3rd with a two-run homerun by Josh Keszczyk and an RBI fielder's choice by Paul Elliot to take the lead 5-4. Doc's lead would not hold as Bill Brancato homered in the bottom of the 3rd scoring two and Reed added an RBI single to regain the lead for Purple Cobras 7-5 after three. Doc's offense then went cold in the 4th and 5th innings unable to put across any runs. Purple Cobras were able to extend their lead scoring 5 runs combined in the 4th and 5th innings on RBI singles by Carmen Brancato and Bill Brancato and scoring on an error by Doc's to lead 12-5 after five. Doc's came up in the top of the 6th needing a bunch to get back in the game. They loaded the bases with no outs and scored one run on an RBI sac fly by AJ Bagushinski, but could not score anymore. Purple Cobras got the run back in the bottom of the sixth after a bases loaded walk to Tom Friedman. Purple Cobras up 13-6 going into the 7th. Doc's started a potential rally with leadoff singles by Joe Giampietro and Paul Elliot, but a flyout and a double play ended the threat and the game. Purple Cobras takes down Doc's 13-6.

Game 3: Wire 2 Wire vs Dark Horse

Dark Horse got off to a slow start and was unable to get a hit in the top of the 1st. That brought up Wire 2 Wire whose offense came out swinging and plated eight runs in the bottom of the 1st. Leading the way was Jacob McDevitt with an RBI single, Ben Vitelli with a two-run RBI double, Derrick Acker with an RBI single, Brett Anker with a two-run RBI double, Gene Walczak and Jason Falcone with RBI sac flies. In a big hole early, Dark Horse was looking to get something going in the top of the 2nd but could only manage one hit before a couple flyouts ended the inning. Wire 2 Wire added on in the bottom of the 2nd after a couple errors and a Tom Signore two-run RBI double to give Wire 2 Wire a 10-0 lead after two. Dark Horse went down 1,2,3 in the top of the 3rd. Wire 2 Wire offense stayed hot and scored four more runs in the bottom of the 3rd on a two-run RBI single by Sean Butrica and a two-run RBI triple by McDevitt to extend the lead to 14 after three. Dark Horse was able to get on the scoreboard in top of the 4th after a pair of singles by Paul Ferruzzi Jr. and Nick Mariana and four walks to plate three runs, but they were not done as Jason Hudachek had an RBI sac fly and Paul Ferruzzi Sr had an RBI single to give Dark Horse five runs on the inning. Wire 2 Wire scored another run in the bottom of the 4th on Alex Metz RBI sac fly to give Wire 2 Wire a 15-5 lead after the 4th. Dark Horse's Mike Suda added another run on his RBI single in the top of 5th to cut the lead to nine. Dark Horse was able to cool down Wire 2 Wire's offense in the bottom of 5th, holding them scoreless in the inning. Wire 2 Wire's defense bounced right back and held Dark horse scoreless in the top of the 6th. Wire 2 Wire put the game away in the bottom of the 6th and was able to score 6 runs on RBI singles by Vitelli and Walczak and a two-run triple by Derrick Acker to end the game by run rule. Wire 2 Wire defeats Dark Horse 21-6.
