Game 1: TGIF vs Throwdown
After TGIF goes down in order to start the game Throwdown scored 2 in the bottom of the 1st to take the early lead. They would again hold TGIF to no runs and add another in the bottom of the 2nd after Katie O'Toole led off with a double. TGIF would score 3 runs in the 3rd to tie the game with the help of a Rob McKenna RBI double. Scoring wouldn't pick back up until the 5th when TGIF would double their score via a Warren Grant 3-run dinger. Gary Thompson would hit a homer of his own to help bring Throwdown back to within a run. A 3-run triple by Ron Pulli would be the main cog in a 4-run 6th for TGIF to extend their lead to 5. That would hold and the game ended in a 10-5 win for TGIF.
Game 2: Irish Car Bombs vs. Philly Junk
Both teams would start slow and not score until the second inning. Brittany Ullman had a 2-run double in a 3-run inning for ICB. After only allowing Philly Junk to score 1 in the bottom of the second ICB grabbed it right back after a leadoff triple by Anthony Crawford. Philly Junk scored 2 runs in 3rd to get back to within 1. ICB peppered in 3 more runs in the 4th before the wheels came off. Philly Junk would bring home 9 runs in the 4th to take a 5 run lead. Singles and walks did the trick with the lone XBH by Mike Bitterlich bringing home 3 runs. Shane Hanna would help pad the lead with a 2-run tater in the 5th. ICB would score 3 more before it was over but fell to Philly Junk, 15-10.
Game 3: Mayhem vs. Wackers
Mayhem stormed out of the gates scoring 4 runs in the 1st and 3 runs in the second. Extra base hits by Greg Hess, Jeff Hess, John Connors and Kristin Grubb helped lead the way. Wackers would struggle to get going only scoring 1 across the first two innings. After Mayhem added 2 more runs and expanded their lead to 8, Wackers scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 3rd to cut the deficit to 3. That was as close as they would get because Mayhem would spray 6 more runs across the very next inning. Mayhem would add 3 more runs over the next 2 innings and win the game going away, 18-10.
