Game #1 – The Maize vs. Mott-Ley Crew


Maize will get an early run on a solo homer from Matt Bagenhangen. Crew will go down 1-2-3 in the bottom half of the inning. Crew will not be held down in the second inning as they push eight runs across. Jonathan Duchette starts the scoring with a two-run single, while Marcus Gibson knocks in a run on a double. Dad Motts will also add two runs in the inning on a single. The scoring will go silent again until the fourth inning when Crew will push across eleven runs. Jon Motts will net three RBI’s on a doubla and single, Tom Finn will add two runs on a double and Selina Alicea adds two runs on a single. Maize manages one late run on a Aaron Worthington solo bomb, but that is all in this one for them. Crew win 19-2.

Game #2 – The Runs vs. Wehrung’s


The Runs will get rolling in the first inning with a two run bomb off the bat of Matt Kovaleski followed by a solo shot from Bobby Ridenour. Nick Perricone will then add a late RBI to make this a 4-0 lead. Wehrung’s will respond in the bottom of the inning with four runs of their own. Lowell Snyder accounted for two of the RBI’s, while errors drove the other two. Wehrung’s will take the lead in the second with an RBI triple from Wyatt Schilling and a sac fly from Jillian Moninghoff. This was short lived as Runs take the lead back in the third inning with six more runs. Erik Cusano had the big shot with a grand slam, while Maddie Leathersbarrow had an RBI double. A couple more innings go by and we still have Runs holding a lead. Wehrung’s will get three runs in the sixth on a three-run bomb from Luke Hendricks, bringing them to within three runs. Back to back RBI doubles from Cusano and Kyle Exner give them a couple of insurance runs. Wehrung’s will grab a couple base runners, but that is where they would end up and fall in this one. Runs win 15-10.

Game #3 – Altek vs. Wehrung’s


Wehrung’s come back looking for a bit of revenge for their second game, but both teams start down ice cold, each putting up no runs across the first two innings. Wehrung’s will strike gold first in the third inning with eight runs. Jillian Moninghoff starts the scoring with a two run single, before Luke Hendricks smashes a grand slam. Altek will get two runs back in the third, on a Tony Luizza RBI single. Wehrung;s come back with another four runs in the fourth inning on a Wyatt Schilling three run bomb. Altek will grab five runs in the seventh, thanks to a Mike Grunwat two run single and Matt Maglio RBI single, but that is all they can push across in this one. Wehrung’s win 14-7.
