Game 1 - Jive Turkeys @ The Generals (07/22/2024)
Well, it was no secret the Jive Turkeys were shot handed Monday night as they got absolutely clobbered by The Generals. Jive Turkeys hadn't scored a single run until the 5th, plating 2 off of a 2 run bomb from Patrick Gallagher. The Generals unloaded of their hate for Thanksgiving in the first and 2nd innings, scoring all 18 runs through 2, off of 9 singles, 5 doubles and 2 homers. The Generals definitely showed up with their filet knives, making quick work of those hot turkeys.
Game 2 - Short Bussers @ Dirty Balls (07/22/2024)
Dirty Balls seemed to have a lot of pent up anger from last week, showing up with an absolute bully fest on the Short Bussers. They went around their lineup the 1st time in the 1st inning recording 2 outs on the first cycle through. During the 2nd time around, in the same inning, not a single out was recorded through 11 batters. The final out was finally recorded by the 4th hitter the 3rd time around. The rest of the team unloaded with 12 singles, 9 doubles, 1 triple and 7 walks. Walks will kill you in this game. As they say, every walk is a run! Short Bussers couldn't get much going as they were kept to 5 runs through 4, ultimately being 20-runned through 4. Tough game for the Short Bussers... Use this loss as the driving hunger to turn this around on your opponent next week. You got his. Stay hungry!
