The Pale’s kids had a pale and sickly offense on this night. A Jared Posavec triple and run sored in the 3rd inning was the only run production of the night. Kevin Moss singled home the run.
Toto/Kiefer crew basically won the game in the 1st inning after scoring 2 runs. Mike Kos hit his first of 2 triples on the night and Brian Penecale added all the cushion they needed with a 3-4 night which included two bombs. Pen finished with 4 ribbies on the night.
The middle infield for Just Foods had themselves a rough night committing 4 errors between the 2nd and 4th innings. Slurricanes looked to capitalize by scoring 6 runs in the 2nd highlighted by Tyler Forrest’s 2-run triple and Kevin Somma’s rbi double in the 4th. They scored 10 runs in those same innings.
Fortunately for Just Foods the Slurricane defense did not fare much better as they total combined infield errors totaled: SIX! Richard Schmidt finished the first inning going 2-2 with a run scored and an rbi. Connor O’Keefe scored 4 times in the game, and Marc Duncan capped the scoring on the night with a bases-clearing triple (he finished with 5 rbi). Just Food doubled up Slurricanes and took this game 22-11.
Just Food look to sweep their twin bill on the night but were not so fortunate in their night cap. Anthony C singled and scored in the 1st and they did not score again until the 5th when Marc D led off the inning with a single. A series of walks given up by Vertex helped plate 5 more runs as Foods finished with 6 total.
The errors continued for Just Foods as they committed 6 more in this game. Matt Schaub took full advantage with a 3-4 night with 2 runs scored and 2 rbi. Frank Staber went 3-4 with 4 runs scored and Tom Egitto with a 4-4 night which included 2 runs scored. Vertex easy winners 19-6.
