Game 1: Wire2Wire Sports Podcast vs The Commission dba Silly Boys
Wire2Wire puts up 12 in the 1st 3 innings. Joe DiMezza and Brandon Bozek both triple, with Bozek doing it twice. Brian Dart, Alex Freeman, Jake McDevitt, and Tom Signore all collect doubles, with McDevitt legging out 2 of them. Meanwhile, Commish keep the game close by scoring 9 in their 1st 3 innings. Cody Runner runs out 2 doubles and runs home twice. In the next 3 innings, Wire2Wire score 11 more. Brett Anker doubles twice, and Signore doubles for a second time. Commish go silent in response, save for a couple of doubles from Dillon Tagle and Greg Thompson. Wire2Wire add an unneeded insurance run in the top of the 7th after Eric Dillon leads off with a tripe and scores on Ben Vitelli's sac fly. Commish threaten a little bit in the bottom of the 7th with a leadoff homer from Tom Koezler, but can only score 3 in the final frame. Wire2Wire wins, 24-12.
Game 2: Dingers vs Kings Corner
Kings Corner bats around to start the game and scores 12. Chris Beatty doubles, Chris Knechel homers, Justin Miller triples, Jay Pane doubles, Mike Capacchione triples, Chris Lansberry doubles, and Frank Stabler triples. Dingers manage to score 4 in the bottom with just 9 in the lineup including 2 subs. Derrick Acker, Connor O'Keefe, and Austin Chase all double. Kings Corner gets a run in the 2nd after back to back doubles from Capacchione and Ryan Schaub. They'll plate 7 more in the 3rd on homers from Beatty, Knechel (his 2nd), and triples from Miller (his 2nd) and Schaub. Dingers get one back in the bottom of the 3rd, and 2 more in the bottom of the 4th. Kings Corner adds 4 more in the top of the 5th, with Mat Crowell tripling along with Justin Miller, and this game is over with a Kings Corner win, 24-7.
Game 3: Shake-N-Bake vs To Be Determined
Shake-N-Bake strike 1st with a 1st inning 2-run dinger from Mike Ianeri. TBD matches that with 2 runs of their own after Collin Sheehan and Jimmy Wiegers both double. They'll add 7 more in the 2nd with Wiegers homering. Shake-N-Bake get 6 back in the top of the 3rd. Ianeri triples. TBD bangs out 2 in the 3rd and 1 in the 4th to take a 12-8 lead. Matt Brand and Sheehan both double. TBD goes on to bat around in the bottom of the 5th. Tyler Quinlan triples, Casey Smith doubles, Steve Gebre triples, Sheehan doubles (his 3rd of the night), Brand doubles again, Tyler Balzxell homers and Dylan Smith doubles. TBD wins, 23-8.
Game 4: Beers vs Philly Junk
Beers has high hopes against power house Philly Junk and takes a 2-0 lead in the 1st inning. Ryan Calabro doubles in both runs. Philly Junk is not impressed and bats 17 in the 1st to score 14 of them. Jason Ashworth homers twice, Pat Kelley homers twice, Mike Bitterlich homers, and Cam Komavchuk doubles. They'll add 6 more in the 2nd, with Ashworth doubling and collecting his 6th of 7 RBIs on the night. Cam Komavchuk and Tyler Gower both chip in with doubles as well. Beers get 1 back in the top of the 3rd and 2 in the top of the 4th to make it a 20-5 game. Philly Junk puts them away with 5 runs in the bottom of the 4th. Shane Hanna doubles, Brandon Birkhead homers and Tyler Gower walks it off with an RBI single. Philly Junk put down a case of Beers, 25-5.
