Game #1 – Mean Machine vs. The Sillies

The first game of the night gets rolling with an RBI single from Scott Gerhart as they get on the board first. Sillies will get two runs back in the bottom of the inning getting a run on a George Slawter RBI double and sac fly from Kris Karaba. Mean Machine will get on top again in the second with an RBI single from Mike Myers and Jeff Kellog as well as a fielder’s choice from Mike Pinneli. We won’t see any action until the fourth when a Karaba RBI single will bring Sillies to within one run. Sillies would get some late offense from a Tori Williams RBI single and an error and they would turn it up defensively not allowing another run. Mean Machine will steal this one 6-4 in a classic pitcher’s duel.

Game #2 – The Sillies vs. Dominick’s Pizza

Sillies get started in the second game of their doubleheader getting RBI singles from Keving Johnson, Karaba, Andy Yurkanini and Josh Owens to take a 5-0 lead in the first half of the inning. Dominick’s get two runs back in the bottom of the inning on back-to-back RBI singles from Rob Schub and Stephanie Green. Johnson will add a solo bomb for Sillies in the third, but is answered by a Jack Milto fielder’s choice for Dominick’s. Sillies will keep hitting in the fifth, grabbing four more runs. Johnson will add another run, this time on a single, while Karaba adds two more to his total with a triple. Another solo shot from Johnson will put Domnicik’s away in this one. Sillies win 12-5.

Game #3 – The Maize vs. Dominick’s

Maize puts up three runs in the first on a two run single from Matt Bugemhagen and RBI single from Gary Kleinschmidt. Dominick’s will go cold for the first three innings and not push any runs across, but Maize will stay hot adding four more runs in the third. Austin Grasso and Bugemhagen smacks RBI doubles while Aaron Worthington nets a run on a triple. Kleinschmidt will also add a run on a single, his second of the game. Stefano Giulliani gets Dominick’s on the board with a solo bomb before they have their biggest inning of the game, scoring seven total runs in the fifth. Kevin Udris and Giuliani had RBI singles, Jack Milto had an RBI triple and Eric Rosenblum delivered a bases clearing triple. Maize got a solo bomb from Garrso in the fifth as we sit at 8-8. Maize will take the lead in the sixth with a two run single from Sam Altmiller and RBI single from Wil Das as they lead 11-8. Dominick’s makese it a 11-9 game from an RBI single from Giulliani. Maize can’t add any insurance runs in the seventh which takes us to the bottom of the inning. Dominick’s gets an RBI single from Rosenblum and another run on a Paul Hensler sac fly. Dominick’s has a chance to win the game, but will fall just short as we will finish this game in a tie.

Game #4 – Poco’s vs. Mott-Ley Crew

Poco’s comes out firing with RBI singles from Liv Foster and Brie Eve to give them the early lead. Crew will fire back with three runs in the bottom half of the inning. Jon Motts will tie the game up with a two run single and Carl Motts will give them a lead with a fielder’s choice. Poco’s will go back on top with four runs in the second. Eric Schade nets two runs out a double while Bill Hamlin brings in a run on his own double. Pooc’s make this an 8-3 lead after back to back RBI walks from Tyler Stone and Brett Anker. Crew will get back into in the bottom half of the inning with five runs to tie the game up. Carl Motts was back at it again with a two run double while newcomer Gene Walczak grabs an RBI single. Tom Finn also knocks in two runs on a single. Crew will take off in the next two innings as the hits and runs will pour in. Walczak keeps swinging it hot with four RBI’s on a double and single. Carl Motts will net two runs on a double while they get RBI singles from Anthony Raposelli, Justin Ruth, Ian Kacergis anf Finn. Greg Reilly also added a solo bomb. Crew will get hot late and roll. Crew win 27-12.
