Game #1 – Knuckleheads vs. Mean Machine

Knuckleheads get off to a fast start with four runs in the first inning thanks to an RBI single from Matt Bookheimer and two run single from John Kiefer. Pierre Girin also knocks in a run on a single. Brad Millen gets one back from Mean Machine with a solo bomb. Knuckleheads get six more runs in the second, with RBI’s from Jaime Burns and Girin as well as a two run double from John Schofield. Knuckleheads will keep the good things going with six more across the next two innings. Brittany Ulman delivered the big shot with a two run bomb. Knuckleheads will really pour it on in the fifth with 14 more runs. The whole team got involved as they get RBI singles from Burns, Ben Razzi, Ullman, L Wood and Mike Cebzanov. Rich Zupkuksy fired the final shot with a grand slam. Knuckleheads will smash Mean Machine 30-2.

Game #2 – Wackers vs. Altek

Wackers come out with three runs out of the gate. Alex Freeman smashes a two-run bomb and Bill Brancato goes back-to-back with a solo shot. Altek will get one run back with an RBI single from Ciarria Charlton. Wackers will get shut down in the second before having a big inning in the third. Brancato will go deep again, having a mid-season summer surge, this time a two-run bomb. Chase Luxton adds a run on a double, while Freeman had netted a run on a triple. Doubles nonny gets into the action with a two run bomb in the fourth as Wackers continue to hit well in this one. A Lissa Tercha homer and Dan Vescovi RBI triple will end this game early as Wackers roll. Wackers win 19-2.

Game #3 – Mott-Ley Crew vs. Poco’s

Crew look to come out strong as they try to pick up from their 30 runs from last week and grab a run on a Gene Walczak RBI single in the first. Eric Schade will give Poco’s the lead with a two-run single in the bottom of the inning. Jeff Hess then knocks in two runs with a double followed by a Bill Hamill RBI single. Steph Neuberg will add one more run on a sac fly. Justin Ruth will add an RBI single in the second in a quiet inning, but Crew will grab four more runs in the third. Carl Motts and Walczak will knock in three more runs on a double and single respectively. Tom Finn will also add an RBI single later in the inning. Poco’s look to stay in this one, but can only grab a couple runs in the third, on an RBI single from Brett Anker and Tony Cabot sac fly. Crew will continue their onslaught of runs grabbing twelve more runs across the fifth and sixth. They were highlighted by two homers from Ian Kacergis and a two run bomb off the bat of Jon Motts. Poco’s will fight back a little late getting six runs in the sixth, but Crew are too much in this one.

Game #4 – Dominick’s vs. The Runs

The Runs come out of the gates swinging heavy with seven runs in each of the first and second innings. Bobby Ridenour accounts for five RBI’s with a double and triple. Matt Kovaleski had a two run triple and Joe Scuhey, Jade Hughes Amy Balash and Jason Exner had RBI singles. Maddie Lenterbarrow also had an RBI double in the 14 run outburst. Dominicks struggle as they can’t push any across until the third inning, when Kevin Udris knocks a run in on a double. This game will end early as Runs grab four more runs in the third and win due to time running out. Ridenour adds another run on a single, while Jason Exner and Kovaleski knock in three more on a double and single respectfully. Runs win 18-4.
