Balls Deep VS Web Gems
Web Gems comes out fast and grabs two in the first off, an RBI single from Arik Fenton who then scores on a fielder’s choice. Balls Deep doesn’t mess around though and puts up 8 in the bottom of the first with an RBI double from Tim Gluck, 2 rbi double from Bob Stanley, 2 rbi single from Tim Fossile, 2 rbi single from Trevor Rice, and an RBI double from Tommy Gallo to cap off the inning. Balls Deep would come back for more in the second, with a 2 rbi double from Tim Gluck, rbi single from Tim Fossile, and RBI double from Ken Huder to extend the lead to 13-0. They add two more in the third with a sac fly from Tim Frei and rbi double from Josh Carl to bring it to 15. Web Gems gets on the board in the 4th with a solo home run from Alex Larossa and then back-to-back home runs from Nick Mackell and Mike Tovey. Eric Wrenn adds a home run as well to get 4 runs in the inning. Balls Deep add three to the lead in the fourth with a rbi double from Tim Fossile, rbi single from Trevor Rice, and rbi single from Josh Carl and then end it in the fifth with a Casey Condron home run, rbi double from Tim Gluck, and walk off Home Run from Connor Quinn.

Web Gems get out to an early lead with 3 runs in the first off a sac fly from Arik Fenton, rbi single from Mike Tobey, and rbi single from Eric Wrenn. Philly’s Phinest jumps out to a big lead though in the bottom of the first, with Steve Johnson getting an rbi on a fielder’s choice, Chris Rommel with an RBI single, Mike Rocks Sr. with a three run Home Run, Sean Boyle with an RBI walk, and Dom Rocks clears the bases with a 3 rbi triple. Web Gems does their best to grab more, with a 3 run Home Run from Alex Larossa, but that is it from Web Gems as it is all Philly’s Phinest from there. The second sees Philly’s Phinest’s Ray Rocks hit a two run Home Run, the third sees a Dom Rocks rbi single, Scott Vogelman rbi single, Mike Rocks 2 rbi triple and a Ray Rocks sac fly. The continue into the fourth with a Brian Hilbert rbi single Chris Rocks rbi fielder’s choice and then the fifth is a 2 rbi double from Mike Rocks, sac fly from Ray Rocks and an RBI single from Steve Johnson. This one also ends after 5.

Philly’s Phinest VS Dugout Demons
Philly’s Phinest jumps out to an early lead with a Steve Johnson two run home run. Dugout Demons grab the lead in the bottom of the first though with a two rbi single from TJ Pergine and rbi single from AJ Dejewski. Philly’s Phinest grabs back the lead with a Mike Rocks SR solo home run, Sean Boyle rbi single, and Dom Rocks rbi double. Philly’s Phinest will extend the lead in the fourth when Chris Rommel scores on a routine ground ball from Brian Hilbert to take a 6-3 lead, but Dugout Demons comes right back and ties it with a Christian Wagner 3 run Home Run. The fifth is yet another lead change, with Scott Vogelman, Mike Rocks, and Ray Rocks all picking up rbi’s on singles. Dugout Demons comes up in the bottom of the sixth down 9-6 and grabs the lead back once again, with a Nate Gregory rbi single, AJ Dejewski rbi double, and Joan Wagner two rbi single. In the top of the seventh, Philly’s Phinest ties the game after a two out RBI triple from Dom Rocks and then Scott Vogelman knocks him in with a rbi single to take the lead. Dugout Demons has their 2, 3 and 4 hitters up down one in the bottom of the seventh but aren’t able to convert and fall short.
Philly’s Phinest wins 11-10.

Birds of War VS Giuseppe’s
Birds of War has a huge first inning, with Justin Kneebone knocking in the first on a sac fly before Tom Bush has a rbi triple, Kyle Mason has a rbi single, Chris Day follows with his own rbi single, and Sonny Rey gets two rbis with a double. Giuseppe’s tries to keep it close with a Tom Jacob 2 run Home Run and then we see a defensive gem for two innings from both teams. The 4th sees Jay Cowan hit a solo home run and then Tom Bush says he can hit it farther and hits a solo shot of his own. Tom Jacob gets up for Giuseppe’s and tells Jay and Tom “yeah but I can do it twice” and hits his own solo home run and then John Franke scores on an error after a double. Ryan Thompson knocks one in with a rbi double in the 5th for Birds of War to extend it to 9-5 and Lou Knoble gets a rbi for Giuseppe’s to bring it within 3. From there, Birds of Wars is able to put it away defensively and take the win.

Birds of War VS Wildfire
Tom Bush stays hot for Birds of War with a two run Home Run to start the game after a Justin Kneebone sac fly to give them a 3-0 lead in the top of the first. Wildfire get two back on a Rob Philippi sac fly and Eric Simonait rbi single. Ryan Thompson grabs two more for Birds of War with a 2 rbi triple and then they grab two more in the third with an RBI triple from Chris Day and rbi double from Kyle Mason. Wildfire gets within one in the 3rd with a two rbi single from Rob Philippi and Bruce Davis each going into the 4th. Justin Kneebone picks up another rbi on a single to extend the lead to two, but it evaporates quickly. Wildfire scores 6 in a big inning with a 3 run Home Run from Jim Catanzaro, followed by a 3 run Home Run from Eric Simonait to take the lead 12- 8 after 4. Birds of War immediately take it back though, with a 3 run Home Run from Jay Cowan, solo Home Run from Tom Bush, and rbi fielder’s choice from Sonny Rey. Not to be outdone, Wildfire comes right back and gets a two rbi double from Phil Purchase and 3 run Home Run from Rob Philippi to grab the lead back 17-14. Both teams are held scoreless in the sixth and Birds has their last chance down 3 in the top of the seventh. Justin Kneebone starts it off with a solo Home Run and then Chris Day gets a rbi triple to bring them within one. Kyle Mason hits a two run Home Run to retake the lead and Jay Cowan adds a rbi single as an insurance run. Wildfire’s turn in the bottom of the 7th and down by two. They get the first run off a Rob Philippi RBI single which brings the winning run up to the plate, but then record three straight outs to fall just short.
Birds of War wins 19-18.
