Game 1: Doc’s Irish Pub vs Stiff Sox

Doc’s put up five runs to start the game in the top of the 1st with RBI singles by AJ Bagushinski and Brett Keszczyk and an RBI sac fly by Joe Giampietro. Stiff Sox answered with five of their own on RBI singles by Tyler Fornwalt, Alex Decristifano and an RBI triple by Jim Kullman to tie the game at 5- 5 after one. Neither team was able to score in the second inning. In the top of the third inning, Doc’s was able to push one run across on an RBI single by Giampietro. Stiff Sox answered again in the bottom of the third scoring one run on and RBI single by Brady to tie the game at 6-6 heading into the fourth. Both teams went down scoreless in the 4th inning. In the top of the fifth Doc’s scored three runs and regained the lead on home runs by Josh Keszczyk and Dylan Brooks. In the bottom of the fifth Stiff Sox failed to score again as Doc’s held a 9-6 lead going into the 6th. Doc’s failed to score in the top of the sixth inning to open the door for Stiff Sox to get back in the game. Stiff Sox took advantage and scored eight runs in the bottom of the sixth inning on an RBI sac fly by Tommy Gallagher, RBI singles by Fornwalt, Kullman and Brady and a grand slam by Andrew Bastalino to take a 14-9 lead heading into the 7th. Doc’s down to their final three outs needed some magic to extend the game. They got some magic and scored six runs on RBI singles by Bagushinski, Brooks and Joe Stankovics and an RBI double by Giampietro to take a one run lead. Now Stiff Sox were up against the wall needed a run to tie and two runs to win it in the bottom of the 7th. Kullman delivered again and scored a run on an RBI single to force extra innings. In the top of the 8th Kurtis Brown delivered an RBI single to give Doc’s a one run advantage. Stiff Sox would fail to score in extras and Doc’s wins a thriller 16-5 over Stiff Sox.

Game 2: Wire 2 Wire vs Purple Cobras

Wire 2 Wire got off to a slow start in this game scoring zero runs in their first two innings. Purple cobras would score four runs in the first two innings to take the lead on home runs by Brandon Roman and Andrew Coates and an RBI double by Nate Roman as we stood 4-0 Purple Cobras after the 2nd. Wire 2 Wire would get on the board in the top of the third inning on an RBI single by Ben vitelli and an RBI sac fly by Tom Signore. Purple Cobras would continue their scoring in the top third scoring two runs on RBI singles by Brandon Roman and CJ Brancato to give Purple Cobras a 6-2 lead heading into the 4th. Both teams failed to score in the 4th inning. Wire 2 Wire would score another run in the top of the fifth inning on another RBI single by Vitelli. Purple cobras would add three more runs in the bottom of the fifth inning on an RBI double by Cody Runner and an RBI fielder’s choice by Mike Corrigan to give them a 9-3 lead heading into the 6th inning. Wire 2 Wire would continue the offensive struggles in the 6th and 7th innings and could not push any runs across. Purple Cobras pushed an insurance run across in the bottom of the 6th on a homerun by Jose Villa. Purple Cobras win easily 10-3 over Wire 2 Wire.

Game 3: Pitches Be Trippin vs Dark Horse

Pitches Be Trippin got off to a slow start on offense as they remained scoreless through the first three innings. Dark Horse used this to their advantage and scored 8 runs in the first three innings on RBI sacrifice hits by Ryan Schock and Jack Stepnowski, RBI singles by Dave Ketterlinus and Jason Hudacheck, RBI double Rob Gisondi and RBI triple by Jimmy Cooker as the score stood 8-0 Dark Horse after three. In the top of the 4th, Pitches Be Trippin cut the deficit by more than half as they scored five runs on RBI singles by Harry Horn, Kris Karaba, and Tim Graf and a two-run RBI double by Anthony Perretti. Dark Horse got two runs back in the bottom of the 4th on an RBI sacrifice fly by Jesse Grasso and an RBI single by Paul Ferruzzi to give Dark Horse a 10-5 lead going into the 5th. Pitches Be Trippin failed to score in the 5th, 6th and 7th innings. Dark Horse scored two more runs in the bottom of the 6th inning on an RBI sac fly by Stepnowski and an error as they went on to beat Pitches Be Trippin 12-5.

Game 4: Swingers vs Pitches Be Trippin

Swingers got first at bats and were unable to push a run across. Pitches Be Trippin in their second game of the day got things going early as they scored six runs in the bottom of the 1st on an error, RBI double by Kris Karaba, RBI single by Dave McCaughley, and RBI fielder’s choice by Kevin Levonian to go up 6-0 after one. Swingers would get on the board in the top of the 2nd scoring three runs on an error, RBI sac by Lucas Burke and a walk. Pitches Be Trippin would score one run in the bottom of the 2nd on a homerun by Matt Horn as they led 7-3 over Swingers after two. Swingers would score three more runs in the top of the 3rd on RBI singles by Brian Close and Chris Clewell and an RBI fielder’s choice by Jack Larini. Pitches Be Trippin was held scoreless in the bottom of the third as they held a 7-6 lead after three. Swingers would tie the game in the 4th on an RBI single by Dion Greene. Pitches Be Trippin would go a second inning in a row without scoring as the game remained tied heading into the 5th. Swingers would take the lead in the top of the 5th scoring four runs on RBI singles by Clewell and Matt Bachmann and an RBI sac fly by Brian Hoover. Pitches Be Trippin answered right back with four runs of their own in the bottom of the 5th on a grand slam by Karaba as the game was tied again 11-11 heading into the 6th. Swingers could not regain the lead in the top of the 6th failing to score. Pitches Be Trippin answered scoring one run on a fielder’s choice as they led by one run, 12-11 heading into the 7th. Swingers down to their last three outs needed a run to stay alive. Unfortunately, they could not push one run across as Pitches Be Trippin wins a close one 12-11 over Swingers.
