Game #1 – Pinball Wizards vs. Poco’s

Wizards open up with a big first inning grabbing seven runs right out of the gate. Dave Brownell started the scoring with an RBI single followed by an RBI double from Brook Darden. Jenn Flannery and John Bliche will also grab runs on singles in the inning. Poco’s respond back with an RBI single from Eric Schade. Wizards will get that run right back on a sac fly from Darden. Poco’s look to fight back a bit in the third getting four runs on RBI singles from Bill Stone and Chelsea Detweiler as well as an RBI triple from Mark Bernacki. Poco’s would come alive in the fifth and sixth batting around in both innings and scoring a total of 11 runs. Stonie lead the way with 3 RBI’s on two singles, while Bernacki added two more on a single and triple. Newcomer Ryan “Wheels” Catania added two more runs on a triple and Greg Reilly netted two runs on a triple. Wizards manage some late runs, but will fall in this one. Poco’s win 17-12.

Game #2 – Carroll’s vs. Dominicks

Dominick’s will strike first grabbing two runs on a Cody Miller single to take the early lead. Carroll’s will answer in the second highlighted by an Ali Theis fielder’s choice, driving in a run. But Dom’s don’t go quiet and add back again, pushing across three more runs Dan Muldon had a two-run single and Rob Schuh had an RBI single. Carroll’s get hot in the fourth as they push across six runs. Brian Sauers had an RBI triple, followed by an RBI double from Steve DiGiovani and RBI single from Lauren Klapchick. Cody Miller will stay red hot at the plate for Dom’s netting two more runs on a triple. But back come Carroll’s as they are coming on strong late. Kevin Shinkunas will add two runs on a single, while Theis and Mike Stacey go back to back with RBI singles. Carroll’s win 17-8.

Game #3 – Altek vs. Wackers

Wackers will strike first grabbing a run on an Alex Freeman hit and error and another run on a Bill Brancato sac fly. Altek will grab their first run in the top of the first, on an Adam Volpe RBI single. But Wackers would come right back to respond in the bottom of the inning, with two more. Adam Lightkep and Bill Shallcross accounted for the runs on RBI singles. Wackers would really explode in the third pushing across eight more runs. Brancato knock in two on a triple, Terr Frelick and Chase Luxton knocked in a run on doubles and Dan Vescovi brought in two on a double. Altek will grab one more run in the fourth on a Ciarra Charlton RBI double, but runs would be scare for them in this one. Wackers put the game away in the fourth with five more runs. Lissa Tercha, Vescovi and Lightkep all had RBI singles in the inning for Wackers. Wackers win 17-2 in mercy fashion.

Game #4 – Mott-Ley Crew vs. Knuckleheads

Crew will get this final game started with an RBI single from Tom Finn as they take a 2-0 lead. Knuckleheads will come back with one run on a Jon Poore RBI single. Knuckleheads will tie it in the second on an RBI double from Mike Marnoch. The game will sit tied until the fourth when Carly Levin and Selina Alicea bring in two more runs for Crew. But Knuckleheads fight right back and take a one run lead. Marnoch, Poore and John Kiefer all have RBI singles in the inning. Knuckleheads will increase their lead in the fifth with three more runs on singles and errors as they lead 9-5. Back to back RBI singles from Alicea and Justin Ruth bring Crew to within two runs. Knuckleheads then step up for three big insurance runs on a Poore solo bomb, an RBI single from Brittany Ulmann and RBI double from Patrick Mraz. Crew fight back in the seventh as they score two runs on a bomb by Rielly and two more on a double from Marcus Gibson. They get the tying run to second, but that is where they would fall as Knuckleheads will hang on. Knuckleheads win 12-11.
