Game #1 – Altek vs. Pinball Wizards

Altek gets rolling with four runs right out of the gate. Brandon Smith nets two on a triple while Scott Flaherty adds a run on a solo bomb. Pinball Wizards will respond in a massive way knocking in a total of 10 runs. David Brownell started the scoring with an RBI single followed by a Dan O’Hara RBI double and Jenn Flannery two run single. John Blithe and Joe Halcovage go back-to-back with two run doubles before Joe Sulpizo wraps up the inning with an RBI single. Altek take offense to that big inning and put up nine runs of their own. The inning was highlighted by two massive homers. A grand slam from Brandon Smith and a Tony Luizza three run bomb. Back come Pinball as they grab six more runs in the bottom of the inning. Dan O’Hara added a two-run bomb and Blithe brought in two more runs on a single. Altek will battle back again by batting around and scoring seven more runs in the third. Brian Dart delivers the big shot with an bases clearing single while Flaherty adds two runs on a double. Altek will turn it on defensively and hold on in this one. Altek wins 24-19.

Game #2 – Mott-Ley Crew vs. Wackers

Crew have a strong first inning grabbing five runs right out of the gate. Anthony Rapposelli knocks in a run on a single, followed up by a Marcus Gibson RBI double. Jon Duchette will net two more runs on a double to round out the scoring. Wackers will come back strong and fast across the first two innings. Tess Frelick and Mark Cooper net runs on doubles while Jason McLaughlin nets a run on a triple. Dan Vescovi has the big shot with a bases clearing double to complete the scoring in the first. In the second, Chase Luxton adds two runs on a triple, while Mark Cooper goes yard with a homer. Frelick adds two more runs on a single. Wackers will grab some good defense before coming back in the fourth with another big inning. McLaughlin and Bill Brancato hit back to back RBI singles before a couple batters later Cooper and Jenn Sevitski have back to back RBI singles. Vescovi stays hot at the plate netting another two runs on a triple. Crew will get a couple runs back later in the game, but this lead is too big and they will fall in this one. Wackers win 24-9.

Game #3 – Knuckleheads vs. Poco’s

Knuckleheads grab three runs right out of the gate with a Jon Poore RBI single and John Kiefer two run single to take a 3-0 lead. Poco’s will grab a run back on an Eric Schade RBI double. Poco’s will grab one back on a Chelsea Detweiler RBI single. Knuckleheads start to pull away with a six run third inning thanks to a two run single from Kiefer as well as a Patrick Mraz three run bomb deep into the woods. Knuckleheads will outdo themselves in the fourth batting around twice and scoring 16 total runs. Jose Rodriguez smashed a two run bomb while Mraz stays hot with two more singles and three more RBI’s. Kiefer also stayed red hot at the plate with two more singles and two more RBI’s. Poco’s will be able to get six runs back in the fourth, but it won’t be enough as they will get flip flopped and fall big in this one. Wackers win 24-8.

Game #4 – Carroll’s vs. Sandlot Legends

The last game of the night gets rolling with both teams coming out extremely hot. Carroll’s will get four runs on a solo bomb from Sarah Yoos and three run bomb from Brian Sauer while Sandlot gets six runs in the bottom of the inning. Charlie Phillips and Scott Gerhart have RBI singles and Mike Meyers had a bases clearing double. The rest of this game is all Carroll’s as they will dominate for the next two inning. The entire team was on fire, but it was led by Bryan Bart who was 4/4 with a single, double, triple and homer across the next four at bats accounting for nine total RBI’s. Bob Mclintock and Steve DiGiovanni both also add three RBI’s as the final for this one gets out of hand fast. Carrolls win 31-8.
