Game #1 – The Sillies vs. Quality Landscaping

Bill Hamlett starts the scoring with an RBI double followed by a two run single from Monique Dirks to give them the early 3-0 lead. Quality will get a run back in the second on a Phil McCusker solo homer. Both teams will explode on opening day in the third. Sillies start it with four straight RBI singles from Hamlett, Gerogie Slawter, Dirks and Walt Bartle. Laura Albertson then knocks in two runs on a single of her own a few batters later. Quality would answer back with ten runs of their own getting two runs on a double off the bat of Phil McCusker followed by an RBI single from Jack Cataldi. Mark Kannengies smashes a grand slam to cap off the scoring and the big inning as they lead 11-10. Quality grabs one more run in each of the fourth and fifth innings on an error and solo bomb from McCusker, his second of the game. Quality will play shut down defense the rest of the game and take the game by two. Quality wins 13-11.
