Game #1 – Phanatics Batmen vs. The Bat Intentions
Batmen get rolling early with an RBI triple from Nick Pataki and RBI single from Scott Gerhart to score two early runs. A Mike Errolino RBI single and Sean O’Connor sac fly will round out the inning with a 5-0 lead. Bat Intentions struggle in the first part of this game, only grabbing one run in the first four innings. Intentions will get five runs in the fifth on a Tom Barnuaskas two run triple and sac fly from Greg Rielly. Batmen will have a big fifth and sixth inning scoring 10 total runs. Anthony Rubas smashed a two run homer, Nick Pataki hit an RBI triple while Karen Kalinowsky, Scott Gerhart and Bill Jones all knocked in runs on singles. It would be too much for Bat Intentions as they will fall short in this one. Batmen win 15-8.
Player of the Game:
Anthony Rubas (Batmen) – 3/4, HR, 2 RBI’s
Game #2 – GFP vs. Altek
GFP will come out swinging with four runs right out of the gate. Pat Kelley and Chas Luxton go back to back with homers to get them rolling and Tess Frelick adds another on a sac fly. Altek will answer back in the bottom of the inning grabbing five runs of their own. Brian Dart scored two runs on a double, while Kevin Cwikla added a run on a single. GFP will respond with three runs in the top of the inning with back to back to back doubles from Nonemacherreerr, Kelley and Luxton. But Altek will add two more runs in the second with back to back solo bombs from Scott Flaherty and Kyle Smith. We will head to the fourth where Altek grab four more runs. Flaherty was back at it with a two run single, while Dart added a run on a sac fly (he couldn’t muscle up the homer). GFP had put up six runs across the third and fourth as homers continue to pace the offense for GFP, another one from both Kelley and Luxton. GFP will really put this game away putting up a whooping 19 runs across the sixth and seventh innings. GFP wins 32-12.
Player of the Game:
Pat Kelley (GFP) – 5/5, 2 2B’s, 2 HR’s, 7 RBI’s
Game #3 – Knucklehead vs. The Runs
Knuckleheads must of used GFP’s bats from the game before as they come out swinging red hot with seven runs. Jon Poore had an RBI double while Wayne H added two runs on a single. Brittany Ullman and Jose R also added runs on a single. Runs will respond back with three runs, two of which come on a Erik Cusano two run bomb. Both teams get a run in the second, but we head to the fourth with our next big output coming from the fourth. Poore knocked in two more runs on a single and Wayne knocked in two more runs on a double as they continue to hit well. Knuckleheads will keep it rolling with three runs across the fifth, sixth and seventh innings as they will cruise easy in this one. Poore will keep his stroke going smashing a two-run bomb. Knuckleheads win 23-9.
Player of the Game:
Jon Poore (Knuckleheads) – 4/5, 2B, 2 HR’s, 6 RBI’s
Game #4 – The Sillies vs. The Runs
Sillies will strike first, with a two run single from Justin Glennon and RBI single from Jamie Glennon, but soon to be seen, runs would be hard to come by for Sillies in this one. Runs will grab two quick runs on a solo homer from Jason B and sac fly from Erik C. The big damage would come in the second for Runs, as they push 11 total runs across. Cusano goes yard with a two run bomb, while Jason B adds two more runs on a double and Amy B adds two runs on a single. Matt K, Steph D and Matt M round out the inning with RBI singles as they lead 13-3. We will see a quick result as they grab seven more runs and end this game early. Bobby R adds three RBI’s on a double and triple while Erik C grabs two more RBI’s. Runs win 20-5.
Player of the Game:
Erik C (Runs) – 3/3, 2B, HR, 5 RBI’s
