Game 1: Morning Wood (10) VS. Goonies (12)
Recap: This bout was a neck and neck battle all the way through. Morning wood was unable to strike in the 1st inning, unlike Goonies who dropped a 1-run nuke on morning wood fresh out the gate! After a scoreless 1st, Morning Wood was sat down in 1-2-3 fashion in inning 2, followed by a 1-2-3 Goonies offensive inning. Goonies struck in the 3rd with the bottom of the lineup leading the pack. A leadoff walk sparked a 5 run inning behind the bats of Doug Spier, Steve Collins, Sean McHale & Kris Cassel. Morning Wood responded with 2 runs of their own, followed by 3 very quiet innings until the 7th came around. After the Goonies scored their 12th run in the top of the 7th, Morning Wood showed some fight, plating 8 runs, but it wasn't enough to defeat the Goonies who walked away with a 12-10 victory. Game 2: Crankin' Hogs (15) VS. Goonies (24)
Recap:
I never thought I'd see the day, but this was a high-scoring game! Both teams came out swinging hard early! Both teams scored 7 runs in their early at bats of the 1st two innings. A slew of doubles, singles, and escalated Goonies' side of the scoreboard with a total of 22-11 through the 4th inning. Cranking Hogs did not go out without a battle as they ended with a total of 15 runs. The Goonies were goons in this match as they skated away with a total of 24 runs, topping the old Crankin' Hogs. Good fight y'all... Keep that same energy!

Crankin' Hogs came out with some fire under their feet as they got swept away by the Goonies in game 2. They took their frustration out on City Lights as they started with a monstrous 1st inning, plating 16 runs behind the bats of the whole squad. N. Dwyer lead the team with 2 3-run homers in the same inning! This game only lasted 4 innings as City Lights wasn't able to pull it together. This game ended with a 4th inning 20-run Mercy Ruling with Crankin' Hogs laying the lumber. Great work, y'all. City Lights may have to take themselves back to the drawing board.
