Game 1: Beers (4 seed) vs Moonlight Mashers (5 seed)
Moonlight Mashers go down in order in the 1st, get a baserunner with a walk in the 2nd, get their 1st hit in the 3rd, and finally get on the scoreboard with back-to-back triples from Max Pac and Cole Allen. Nothing more until the 6th, where they go bonkers and score 8. Pac doubles, Allen doubles. For Beers, Nick Ciccone triples and scores in the 1st on Kelly Adams RBI double. They'll get 9 in the 3rd after batting around. Ryan Maley triples along with Scott Runzer (who also doubles in the inning), and Time Coleman doubles while Ciccone bangs out a solo homerun. 4 more cross in the 4th wityh Jose Sanchez getting in on the triples parade. Beers gets an insurance run in the bottom of the 6th, and Moonlight Mashers need 5 to tie and 6 to take the game into the bottom of the 7th. But, alas, they go down in order and Beers wins, 15-10.
Game 2: Kings Corner (3 seed) vs Wire2Wire Sports Podcast (2 seed)
Kings Corner goes down in order in the 1st but bats around in the 2nd and scores 8. EVERYONE in the lineup singles in the inning except Sean Murphy, who selflessly sacrifices in a run. 2 more score in the 3rd with John Erb doubling. 4 runs cross in the 5th with Bill Brancato doubling. They'll get 3 more in the top of the 7th with back-to-back doubles from Mike Capacchione and Brancato. Wire2Wire score just 2 runs in the 1st 5 innings. Tom Signore homers In the 6th, they get a two out run when Alex Freeman singles and Brain Dart knocks him in with a triple. Needing 15 to tie and 16 to win, Wire2Wire gets 2 men on in the 7th but strands them, Kings Corner wins 18-3, and waits patiently to see who they will face in the championship series next week.
Game 3: Philly Junk (#1 seed) vs Beers (4 seed)
Beers gets a run in the 1st and 2 in the 3rd. 1 more crosses in the 5th and 1 in the 6th with Ryan Maley tripling. 1 more crosses in the top of the 7th for a total of 6 runs. Probably not enough to beat the powerhouse of Philly Junk, who are looking to punch their ticket to their 3rd straight 2025 championship series, with the spring and summer wins already in their pocket. Philly Junk gets to work straight away in the 1st with a leadoff homer from none other than 19-homeruns-in-one-season Pat Kelley. 3 more score in the 2nd with doubles from Cody Runner and Ryan Habel. Things are looking good for Beers, holding on to a 4-4 tie after 5. Philly Junk keeps up with a run in the 6th when Shane Hanna scores after doubling. Facing a 1 run deficit in the bottom of the 7th, Philly Junk gets a 1-out solo shot from KC Ingram to tie it up, and then Cody Runner reaches on an error. A single and a walk get Runner 60 feet from the win, and Tom Rider walks it off with an RBI-single. Philly Junk squeaks by Beers 7-6, and looks to 3-peat in 2025 against Kings Corner in the championship series next week.
