Game #1 – The Maize vs. Bar Closers

Bar Closers will jump out to a quick 5-0 lead with an Ed Reynolds RBI single, two run triple from Eric Rosenblum, RBI double from Stefano Giuliani and RBI single from Ray Barry. Bar Closers will shut Maize down defensively for the next three innings and we will see our next action in the third, with Kevin Udris bring in two runs on a double. Barry will get into the action with another RBI single. The fourth inning is a big inning for Maize, as they will bat around and score 12 total runs in the inning. Bob Garges will bring in two runs on a single, then Gary Kleinschmidt will bring in two runs on a double. Tom Egitto will then bring in two runs on a single, followed by RBI hits from Aaron Worthington, Sean O’Connor and Michelle Egitto. Maize would get four more runs in the sixth, two coming on an O’Connor two run triple. But back come Bar Closers as they grab eight total runs across the sixth and seventh inning. Jack Milto will clear the bases with a triple while Ed Reynolds and Kevin Udris smash solo homers. In the end, they would fall one run short as Maize will steal this one, 17-16.

Game #2 – Bat Intentions vs. The Maize

Maize will start this game off with a sac fly from Aaron Worthington to give them the early 1-0 lead. Bat Intentions will come back in the bottom of the inning in a big way as they will bat around and score 10 runs early. Tom Finn, Brittany Porter and Anthony Rapposelli bring in runs on a single, while Selina Margicin and Greg Reilly bring in two runs on hits. Andrew Rutter also brings in a run on a double. Both teams will add two runs in the third, but we head to the sixth where Intentions have another big inning. Jonathan Duchette will bring in two runs on a double, after having a two-run homer in the prior inning while Rapposelli and Jim Liott add an RBI on singles. Austin Grasso tries to keep Maize in the game compiling an RBI double and three run homer late in the game, but Intentions have too much offense in this one for Maize to keep up. Intentions get 10 more runs late and will win this game big. Bat Intentions win 29-15.

Game #3 – Dirty Balls vs. Bat Intentions

Intentions will start this game off strong as they grab six runs across the first two innings. Gerg Reilly provides half of that with a three-run bomb, while Jimmy Costar brings in a run on a triple. They will also shut it down defensively and lead 6-0. Sean Murphy gets Dirty Balls back into the game with a three-run bomb in the third while Tim Frei also brings in a run on a double as they trail by two. Andrea Romano will add two runs on a single to tie this game up but back come Intentions. Reilly will bring in three more runs, on a triple as they again retake the lead. Jim Liott will add another run on a double as they still lead heading into the sixth. Intentions will get three insurance runs on RBI hits from Duchette and Rapposelli. Dirty Balls will come up short late as they can only add one more run i the seventh on a Murphy RBI single as they will fall in this one. Bat Intentions win 14-10.

Game #4 – GFP vs. Dirty Balls

GFP will look to start off strong in this one and get an early RBI single from Chase Luxton and sac fly from Lissa Freeman. Dirty Balls will respond in the bottom of the inning with a Frei RBI single and Murphy sac fly. Back come GFP in the second, this time scoring five runs on RBI singles from Steph and Cooper as well as a two run double from Nopnennneemachhhherrr. Freeman will also add an RBI double in the inning to make it a 7-2 game. The fourth inning is where GFP would start to take off. Luxton will add another run on a double while Ian Cuzzo gets a run on a single. Brancato would bring in a run on a double and Shady brings in two on a single as they start to pull away. In the end, this game would be all GFP. Freeman adds two more late runs on a triple as Dirty Balls can only manage three runs for the rest of the game. GFP wins 20-5.
