Game #1 – Quality Landscape vs. Knuckleheads

Quality Landscape aren’t able to field a team today and will have to forfiet this one on a beautiful saturday. Knuckleheads win by forfeit.

Game #2 – Wehrung's vs. Dirty Balls

Wehrung’s will get a lonely run in the top of the first, getting a run on a Daniel Muth RBI single. Dirty Balls will get two back and take the lead in the bottom of the inning. Tim Frei will tie it with a sac fly and Jenn Sevitski will give them the lead with an RBI single. Wehrung’s take that lead righ back in the second, with two runs on a Doug Moninghoff triple and a couple errors. We will skip the third, since there is no action and then head to the fourth where Tim Frei smashes a homer to bring this game within one run. The sixth sees Dirty Balls grab three to lead 7-6. Frei goes yard again, this time a two run bomb and Sean Murphy also smashes a homer, a solo shot. Wehrung’s, with their backs against the wall again go up and score three more runs, to take a 9-7 lead. Adam Hendricks and Muth bring in runs on fielder’s choice and Sam Calderon brings in a run on a double. Nick Pigott will give Dirty Balls one more run, but they would fall just short in this won. Wehrung’s win 9-8.

Game #3 – Dingers, Doubles and Dives vs. Carroll’s

Last game on this Saturday starts with back-to-back RBI singles from Karen Kalinowsky and Dylan Cardo. Carroll’s strike back with three runs, two coming on a Bill Shipe double and another on a sac fly from Brian Sauers. Triple D will tie the game on a Glen Hipple RBI single. But again here comes Carroll’s grabbing two more runs, one on a Sarah Yoos sac fly and one on a Bryan Bart RBI single. Triple D will get red hot in the third, bat around and put up nine runs. Bill Jones has an RBI double, Hipple knocks in two on a swingle and Kalinowsky knocks in a run on a triple. Scott Gerhart will also smash a solo bomb in the inning deep in the woods. They will keep going in the fourth inning with seven more runs. Gerhart again delivers the big shot with a grand slam this time as they look to blow this game wide open. Carroll’s will finally have their big inning in the sixth, as they will bat around and score eight runs. Bill Shipe will match Gerhart and smash a grand slam of his own, but that is all they can muster in this one and will fall. Dingers, Doubles and Dives win 21-16.
