The spring and summer seasons have moved along quite nicely and placed us in a position to finish the fall season well before the cold weather sets in. Because we are so early and because there is such a large disparity in talent between the top teams and the rest of the league, I’ve decided to add a B Division 2/3 Finals to the Tuesday Men’s post season.

Here is how it will work…
The 1 seed at the end of the regular season will move directly to the 2/3 A Division Championship series. The 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, seeds at the end of the regular season will compete in a playoff tournament. The winner of the 3 v 2 game will play the 1 seed for the A Division Championship title. The loser of the 3 v 2 game will play the winner of the 65 vs. 4 game for the B Division Championship title.

I will caution the top teams to take the regular season seriously. Because of how the schedule is laid out, not taking care of business could place your team as the 4th seed playing for the B title.

BTW, if Mother Nature continues to treat the Tuesday Men’s league with kindness and we actually finish on the 29th of September and some teams (not more than 5) want to continue playing into October/early November, we could possibly work out an abbreviated ‘winter’ season of 4 regular season games with the top team going directly to the 2/3 finals and the 2 and 3 seeds meeting to play vs. the top team in the best of 3. That would make it a 5-week league where we would finish on November 3rd-- November 10th with a rainout. If more than 5 teams want to participate, we would use the fall season final standings and post season results to determine those 5 teams. As little 1 rainout during the fall season could put the kibosh on this idea.

Have a great season,
Les
