Game 1: Vertex v. Slurricanes
Vertext srated the game hot with 7 runs in the top of the 1st. Sean Nonemacher tripled home 2 runs in the 5th and Keith Crowell finished 3-4 with 2 runs scored. A balanced Vertex attack led to 17 runs being scored.
Slurricanes also scored in the first with Chris Keeler doubling home 2 big runs. Sean Valenza homered in the 5th and with a little help from defensive miscues, Slurricanes added a few more runs. However, they finished with only 11 for the game. Vertex by 6.
Game 2: Just Food v. Mike’s Bar & Grill
Just Food scored 18 for the game highlighted by Ant Casselli 4 rbi night, Dave Mergen drove in 4 more & Mike Casear went on to score 3 times.
Mike’s attempted to keep up as Dave Shannon & John Bionds both scored 4 times. Tony Stuart drove in 2, but Mike’s scored 5 less than their opponent. Just Food by 5.
Game 3: Toto/Kiefer v. Beers
Beers got on the board quickly with a Ryan Calabro home run in the first, but sprinkled in runs here and there the rest of the way. Connor McFarlane also homered as Beers finished with 8 runs total.
Toto/Kiefer line-up expoded. Chris Hackney scored 4 times, Brian Penecale drove in 3, Jon Poore with a 3-5 night which included a home run and 8 rbi and John Kiefer scored 3 times en route to a 24-run performance. Needless to say, an easy victory: 24-8.
