Game 1: IDC vs Philly Junk
Another week and another offensive explosion for the most hated coed team in all of SBA! The balls were flying out of the park on this night. Jarred Gardner hit 2 homers for IDC but they would only score 7 runs on the night. Philly Junk dropped 20 on their way to victory. Homers by Mike Bitterlich (2), Shane "Mex" Hanna (3), KC Ingram (2) and Ryan Russell??? (1 - inside the park (oh, OK)) were the key contributors on the night. Philly Junk takes it, 20-7.
Game 2: TGIF vs IDC
The next game was more of the same for IDC, offensively speaking. Tom Koelzer served his one game suspension for being tossed from the previous game and was removed from the lineup. Jarred Gardner provided much of the offense with his 3-run dinger in the 1st. However, IDC would only get one more run the rest of the night. TGIF wasn't much better but they were better enough to win the game. A Rob McKenna solo shot and a bases clearing Jay Payne triple brought in 4 of the 6 runs that TGIF scored on the night. They take it, 6-4.
Game 3: TGIF vs Throwdown
TGIF was able to produce a bit more in this game. 18 more in fact. They scored 10 in the first 2 frames and 14 across the last 2 innings. 8 batters produced at least one extra-base hit which includes Adam Lightkep's solo shot in the 4th inning. It was an all around dominant performance by TGIF offensively. Defensively they were solid as well. Throwdown only mustered 6 runs in the 5 innings that were played. TGIF takes this one by mercy rule, 24-6.
Game 4: Mayhem vs Wackers
This game featured a ton of offense. Mayhem was on a mission as they hammered 25 runs in across 6 innings of play and they did it with only 3 extra-base hits. Greg Hess hit a solo shot, Mike Zahradnick had a RBI double and Mark Danouski had a 2-run double. Other than that it was mostly singles and walks. Wackers scored 13 across the 1st 3 innings but the bats went silent after that. Mayhem closed the door and took the win, 25-13.
