Game #1 – Mot-ley Crew vs. Poco’s
Jon Motts will get this week started with a moon shot blast into the trees at Hatfield giving Crew an early 2-0 lead. Ian Kacergis will add another run on a single to make it a 3-0 game. Poco’s respond in the bottom of the inning with three runs of their own on a Tony Cabot three run bomb. Crew will take the lead again in the second with a Greg Rielly RBI single and Jon Motts two run single. Poco’s will again respond in the bottom of the inning. L Wood had a fielder’s choice to bring in a run as well as a two-run triple from Bill Stone, who just keep churning out clutch hits. Poco’s lead is short lived as Crew go back up with a two-run bomb from Kacergis giving them a one run lead. Back and forth we go as this time Poco’s take the lead on a Brett Anker single and Bill Stone double. A Bill Hamill sac fly increase their lead to 11-9 as we head to the sixth. Crew will get a run in the sixth on a Greg Rielly single, but more importantly take the lead in the seventh off a two run double from Marcus Gibson. It’s a lead that Poco’s could not answer as they will fall in this one. Crew win 13-11.

Altek gets our last game of the night rolling with a three run bomb off the bat of Kevin Cwika. Maize will struggle early in this one and not net any runs in the first three innings. Altek take an inning off in the second, but come back in the third to get three more runs, another three run bomb off the bat of Cwikla. Altek will get two runs in the fourth, on a two run triple from Aaron Worthington. This unfortunately for them, would be the only runs that they can put up in this one. Altek will continue to string runs across until the sixth when they explode for seven runs. Chris Lento knocks in two with a triple, while Brandon Smith drove in two with a bomb, deep into the woods. Altek will cruise and hold off Maize in this won to take the W. Altek wins 16-2.
